YAMAHA ELECTONE AR100 ORGAN
Designed for the American, Austraila and U.K.markets, the AR 100 seemed to have evolved more from the PSR series of instruments rather than EL series Electones. The rhythms and voicings correspond to the PSR series. Voices are all AWM, no FM.

Hello, Fabulous sound, Can you tell me please, is this straight from the organ or have you worked with the sounds to improve? I am interested in changing my HS8 for one of these and am curious. Thank you in anticipation

I would imagine these are the presets, as that was what Leith says in the introduction.

Hi Drewey, No the Yamaha AR 100 was released in 1996 but they are still a great Organ. Your Hammond is a nice little instrument and adding a Leslie would bring the best out of it

I am a big fan of Yamaha but this organ sounds like the best sounding Yamaha organ I ever heard!!! Opinions please?

I prefer the 70s to early 80s electones, they are the closest Yamaha has come to making theatre organs, especially since it’s built around a flute chorus with orchestral stops included

@@thetheatreorgan168 I agree with you. I really liked the E-5 which I think was introduced in 1977. I played a E-5 once and I really enjoyed playing it. Sadly, they must be all gone as I never see one

Is this a digital or analog instrument?Does it have Midi?

Yes, it does have MIDI!

Sadly, the AR is known for having only the most basic of MIDI connections, so do not expect too much from it !

These organs do sound magnificent - but we are listening to a professional recording and not live. However it isn't like setting up sounds on a keyboard - right and left hand and rhythm. ORLA organs perform better straight off the bat. Many organists quickly become disappointed and underwhelmed when they try. The theatre organ sounds are great but actually are quite weak in reality. The jazz sounds are the worst - the midi also lacks capability. YAHAMA PSR and TYROS easily out perform this. Maybe this instrument could be your secondary addition to your collection - but I couldn't advise having it for your main and only one !

I don't know this model.I am only familiar with Yamaha FX20 and FX70 and Tyros 5.
