In this video I get most of the wiring finished, the oil pump primed, and carburetor gremlins fixed. Fire up the engine and check most of what can be checked at this point.

Bench test tricks 👍🏻 oil syringe seems like a good idea with the old two strokes. Pump failure seems like a common issue 22:14 💨💨💨👏 love that sound. Beeep beep.lol. Inspiring content. Thanks for the tip on the gaskets, looks like the same carb on my Suzuki. Cheers🎉

Dale, what paint and color did you use on the side covers and fender. Most paints that I come across are too dark of a gray or they are silver. Thanks for videos. Great content.
@montana2strokeracer
@montana2strokeracer Жыл бұрын
The side cases I use the Rust-oleum, high heat silver 7716, coated with Rust-oleum semi-gloss clear. The fenders I use a custom mix silver poly Omni AU (MAE) 12UWA9824 it is a GM color. Your local automotive paint store can mix it for you.

I have a 1971 Yamaha at1 ct1 I have a lot of oil coming out of the exhaust when. It's running. Would you know how to fix it🇺🇲🇺🇸☮️
@montana2strokeracer
@montana2strokeracer 10 ай бұрын
Hi Bill, it could be several things, first, they will leak a bit where the exhaust pipe meets the cylinder. They are a two-stroke engine so there will be some oil. You can put a new rope seal in the pipe flange groove to seal it up, and a new flange gasket. These are still available from Yamaha. Or if it is truly excess oil, more than likely the crankshaft oil seal on the right side is sucking oil from the transmission oil reservoir. They are available from Yamaha also, and not too difficult to change I have done many videos on changing these. Another thing to check is the oil pump output. I have also done a video on this, make sure all the cables are adjusted properly before doing that test or it will not do any good. Pickup a good manual if you don't have one already to make those adjustments. Hope I have been of some help. Thanks for spending time with me in the shop.

I am sorry it has been way to long since I had a HT-1 or an LT-1 a part. My thought is no, I think the stroke is different, it is the same on the AT-1 and the CT-1. Not sure if the bolt pattern is different or not. Thanks for stopping by the channel.

Hi, I see the Suzuki Shaolin is a two stroke, I have never seen one, but I am sure an oil pump adjustment would help to keep it from smoking quite so much. Also, you may need to clean the exhaust pipes and mufflers out they may have some excess oil in them. As always be sure to run a quality 2 stroke oil in the injection system. Wish I could be more specific on what is the issue, but I have never seen one of these bikes, but generally all two strokes operate the same and have the same problems or issues. Thanks for watching my channel hope I have been some help.
