One thing people should know before they buy this keyboard is that it's an instrument intended for a one man band who needs auto accompaniments and not a tool for music production. If music production is your thing you would be better either buying a Montage ( Yamaha are bringing out a new Montage in October ) or seeking out a used Motif as Yamah still supports Motif. Or better still if you prefer VST instruments then Halion 7 sounds is also a fantastic piece of software that has been used by many professional producers. If you need more realistic sounding instruments then Kontakt is the most powerful sampler capible of sounding like The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra which will never be possible with an arranger keyboard.

Awesome! Have you figured out how to play genus styles in other high grade Yamaha workstations like Motif 8. Is it possible to save genus styles in midi form into a usb and use them when I’m out of town?
