While the playing is great, its more a showcase of your playing ability, than it is a sound test or demo. It would help if you told us if these sounds are native or performances you created. Most synths can create millions of sounds, but it would help is you indicated which ones are factory shipped, and what they are called on the unit.I looked at it initially as a demo/comparision to my Modx8

very nice playing! I returned the 8 for 2 reasons. 1. too big and heavy. 2. the action was inappropriate for a synth, for a piano it was entertaining. I ordered the m6 and m7, not sure which one to get? any suggestions would be helpful, ETA. end of DEC

I must admit, I’m following along on my MODX + and I hear the same thing. I mean I love Yamaha. Have the XF8 and the ModX+8. Sold my XS Rack. My go to piano is on my Nautilus. I was going to buy the new montage but it’s a hard sell for me. Maybe by the end of this video my mind will change. But piano alone is a definite no.

nice playing good sounds, the keys look as if they are quite soft for weighted keys are they ? If they are that would be good for me !

Some distortion creeping in there from time to time... had to switch to headphones 'cos I was worried it was my speakers lol but same thru phones.

17:15 a bit of distortion happening from the organ patch... is that from keyboard itself or due to the recording?

I think the new GEX action key penalized key tapping for pianos. The piano on Classic Montage (Balanced Hammer Action) seems to sound better.Lacks dynamics, sounds too loud or too weak and even shrill. but what has Yamaha done? However montage M has sounds with the addition of AN which are nice

What in the hell is Yamaha thinking? And why is this man using the music genre from the 80's musac storage closet to open with? There's retro and there's no go. The best way to open the door for me to leave is this old hat, lounge lizard, sputum. It is an all in one synth, with a Roland-esq sound engine. But this man should have known better. The Yamaha board should have known better. Let us think about this for a moment: Circular logic without the presence of reason causes a round robin effect or, if you like, self reinforcing ideas based on your sales which are based on one vertical, created by only selling to the same vertical, because that is who buys a product, who buys it because you only offer one train of thought which they use or like. Another example of this kind of failure is: aim the design and sales at the same demographic because that's who always buys in. It's insane, it's crazy think. It is short sighted. Just keep plugging out the same ideas over and over because, Hey, that's what we have always done. As an example of what happens from that logic, look at all of the car manufacturers dying off because they refuse to change by listening to the new demographics that want something else and are literally screaming for something else. End of line. Eat the rich, there is no cake.
