We remove the db-killer from the street legal Akrapovic for the 2021 Yamaha MT-09.
In part two we will drill in the carbon piece so the rubber plug can be used, then the db-killer wil be removal. Then we compare the sound with & with-out the db-killer.

Nice bike. I am a lucky owner of a 2021 SP here in the USA. I think your upper tech spec placement is a little odd. I just put them on my bike. I am going to pick up one of these eliminator kits. Thanks for the vid.

Which kind of rivets are those ones on the black cup? and what about the screw that holds the DBKiller? I bought a MT-09 with this Akra and without the DB, I'd like to put it back in place

LOL. The stock doesn't have a DB killer. Those small outlets ARE the exhaust.

Not really. With a drill press those stainless rivets would drill out easily. And the tack weld is so it doesn't shake loose which is probably a road legal compliance issue. It seems Akro did as little as possible to get past the legislators which they should be commended for. Be thankful it was only a tack weld and a shallow one at that.

Why not simply buy the Akrapovic Racing Line Carbon system at half price... Less work, more power, better sound, less money... You already made this system not street legal, so...
