this was definitely the best review ive seen so far, you told exactly what you liked and disliked about the bike, weren't afraid to say you disliked the brakes, or that the norm model suspension was shit. the least bullshitty review ive seen so far

Omg dream bike! So damn gorgeous 😍! Much much better looking than the 2021 mt09 with that abomination of a head light! Idk what was yamaha thinking... Only 8 more months for me to get my full license n ill be trading my mt07 for a 2019 0r 20 mt09sp, cant wait!

Yes, but the chassis geometry is important as well. For example a harley doesnt feel nearly as good as sportbikes in the corners.

I test road one a few days ago, and the thing that allot of riders seem to like, in my opinion is a design flaw. people seem to love how it is so easy to wheelie, which can be fun, I get it. but the problem is even when the front wheel is on the ground it never feels planted. so it never has a super stable feeling. when you are going fast on it you get the feeling like you could be going around a turn and a gust of wind could blow and the front end would lift up and you would fly into a tree. I used to own a Ninja 900 years ago. and that bike felt ten times more stable. if felt totally planted to the ground and it gave you confidence at any speed. and this Mt09 gives me none of that same feeling. and I don't understand why more people don't talk about this. I just got to the part of the video where you actually talk about this. finally someone else sees what I see. 10:46 this is the reason I won't buy this bike. its not just in the corners, even in a straight line when doing high speeds it doesn't feel safe to me.

So true, tested this bike. Awesome machine but ... like you said. I one sentence ... it is a young wild dog that can surprise you anytime.

The wheelie problem can be remedied by long time riders. You can also get more control if you flash the ecu or if you dyno tune to your riding specs. Anyone that sees and gawk at mines i always warn its not for beginners.

@@jerroldtagavilla9951 I didn't say it has a wheelie problem, I said that even when the front wheel is on the ground the front end doesn't feel planted or stable.

@@photographerjonathan hey let's put it this way I'm not bad mouthing your comment i totally agree with you the bike is very unstable stock, but like I said upgrade the bike with a rear suspension kit and front suspension and the bike is the most fun bike you'll ever have. I have an ohlins full rear suspension kit like the mt09 sp and I got a full ohlins fork set to match and the gpr steering stabilizer and pretty much control is awesome. I fully upgraded my bike so with that said any of the stock mt09 problems are semi gone. When I say semi its still not a beginners bike. Wheel doesn't come up unless I want it to. I've been riding since I was 7 and for kids who grew up on dirt bikes they'll love this bike I sure do!

Hello, when you removed the Kat, did you flash ECU or put something like another ECU like rapidbike...or nothing at all, if u thought you dind't lost something in mid and low RPM/range

Nice review mate! One question: are some annoying vibration on the bar at highway speed (130 - 140 m/h)? I mean tha can tingle your fingers and you have to stop the riding for a while?

hei, Bergen here, I wonder how you would compare with the duke 890r? I have been riding an ktm 500 SM and considering the 701 SM, but the 890r and MT09SP are an option also

what about the vibration? you keep on saying being smooth, the powertrain after 6k will make you're handes vibrate

Hi there. Great review. I just took the 2020 model for a test ride today here in Australia. I noticed yours doesn't have the number plate on the rear wheel. Do you know if that can easily be removed. I didn't like the look of it and would rather it under the seat. Cheers

Hey Scandi, I have a question. I bought a used MT-09SP 2018, I LOVE IT. But sadly the front forks where bend and does not have the fully adjustable KYB "gold" forks anymore, Instead it has the simple KYB black ones of the Standard MT-09 2018. My question is should I pay the +1200 Euro for the fully adjustable one is it worth it? FYI I do not go on track I do not ride "crazy", I do the occasional pull on the highway but nothing major, mostly commuter and fun bike. Thank you man :)

I ride aggressiv and do track days, so I think its worth it. For normal commuting I dont think its worth it.

I dont like the look of the duke, but people say its a better handling bike, the mt09 is a better all arounder.

Hey there! Just got this bike and would be very thankful if you can share a link to these mirrors! They are awesome-looking! Btw to feel more confidence in the corners you can try to get another handle bar. Previous owner of my Mt09 put LSL, it's 2cm lower than the standart. So it's still comfortable but not that straight!

@@alex5761 Its so much character in the monsters, love the looks and the new one is so light with 18kg shaved off from the 821 monster. I dont like the new look of the mt09sp or the 890 duke r. I think the 890 duke r is the best bike tho from a performance perspective, but the 950 monster comes very close.

nice review mate, I'm thinking to get either a mt09 sp or a street triple rs. Did you test ride the street triple? I am the same height as you and can't test ride one currently. I wanted to know did it feel comfortable for your height? (If you have ridden one that is).

The street triple is more refined and have less character. Its more sporty and a better track bike. I think the mt09 is the better street bike. To be honest if you are looking for bike in this class I would rather buy a 890 duke r og monster 950, these are way more fun, check my monster 950 and 890 duke test ride🤟 I havent test ridden the street triple since I hate the look of it🤣

throttle ... even in A mide is a lot better then i expected tbh but yes it does have that on off point its a Go ir Dont throttle its not for cruising 😅😂 u can ofcourse... just put it in a higher gear !

I like the gold forks! New models (2021) have black forks. How tall are you? I’m 5’7” tall and am wondering if I’m too short for an mt-09.

Tjenare ville bara säga riktigt bra video fortsätt så👍 jag står lite i kvalet om att välja en mt 09 SP eller 890 duke R. Men kan inte riktigt bestämma mig. Jag är 1.88 lång och vill kunna sitta bekvämt även på långa turer men även ha riktigt skoj i kurvorna. Vad skulle du rekommendera? Du har min sub😎

Takk! Jeg ville valgt 890 duke r, mye morsommere og mer leken sykkel. Den har bedre bremser og er bedre for aktiv kjøring🤟

@@WeezyIsMusic Flasha Ecun' - Det är stor skillnad! :) (PC5 är dyrt och svårt att fixa med) Kan varmt rekommendera Marko på Swedenfastbikez i Malmö . Du kan Skicka in din ECU via post så flashar han den beroende på din modell. Bästa jag gjort på min MT09 -18. Läs gärna reviews och sådant innan på hans facebook - alla är supernöjda. Ha de!

Sound is all over the place. Starts out loud, then your voice is way too low. I turn up the volume, then the sound blasts again! Nice review and bike, otherwise. Still have the bike? Like it?

Just get the mt09 regular and speck it yourself. I have a 2018 mt09 and what makes it an sp is just the quickshifter which I installed a full adjustable rear ohlins which I also installed and the front fork ky adjustable which I also upgraded to the ohlins front fork kit which is way better to match the rear suspension. I have the ecu flashed with the ftecu kit lithium battery kit to cut weight. My only regret is my exhaust kit don’t get me wrong I love my full akropovic but i should of gone with the sc kit. A friend of mine has the same bike 2019 and the sc project kit sound so much more sick!

Absolute peach of a bike, but, and but. Firstly, why no Brembo brakes. Secondly, shit myself at over 100mph, no stability on front wheel,and nearly had a steering wheel wobble. Reliability, brilliant, and only tried high speed once, at a suitable road, and being so unstable at higher speeds, it keeps my license clean. Sorry Yamaha, but now looking at Kawasaki z1000sx. Already had test run, and loved it.

Dont you lose warranty because you have the arrow exhaust on it? Its basically "modified" so you void warranty that way right?

I drive daily to work Commuting in the city and also the highway and sometimes during a weekend round of recreational so, which one? love Naked bike so what is your opinion? I think a ducati 821 monster would fit you well if you are short. But I would recommending starting on a smaller bike and then upgrade after 1-2 seasons.

@@scandimc Thanks for your recommend, well i love Ducati. lovely bike but qualitatively not so strong Ducati compared to Truimph or Yamaha so it's sensitive to repair....

@@petroosabdollahian1648 Just buy a ducati with a warranty, they have an option now with an extended 2 year warranty, so 4 years in total :)

Hvordan kan du poste denne filmen med så utrolig dårlig lyd.. ? Kjøp deg en kimafun mikrofon som går rett inn i lightning porten. Så har du hjelmmikrofonen.. da har du 2 gode mikrofoner. Få deg også en DJI MO4 så får du fete bilder, og en drone med trackingsystem så er du langt på vei, og vloggen blir enda bedre. Ps, sjekk Snowcat. Anyway, good work.. Ps, Brembo på en ny GsxR eller R1 2020 modell er ikke akkurat jey.. Må oppgraderes som alt annet.. Og ett lite tips til kameraet ditt.. få på en vidvinkel med ett ND 8 filter så blir det enda bedre.. 😉
