Enter the 2020 #Yamaha #MT125. It’s almost completely new over the previous model: new engine, frame, styling, suspension, brakes, wheels, tyres and clocks. About the only thing left is the name on the tank.
Our 51-year old teenager, Simon Hargreaves, rode the little new naked at the press launch in Malaga.

In Germany we can ride 125cc legaly with 16 and thats great. I think nearly in complete Europe

@@worlderhd7730 most of 125 bikes are 150-ish in my country (i.e yzf r15, mt15, gsx-r and gsx-s 150, etc), and it's already considered as "big" bike here, no joke 😅 people from 16-30 or even more still ride these bikes, 250 at most. 600-1000 or more are considered luxury here thus have an extra tax (around 120%), so not many got them. that's why I always love to see when people reviewing 125cc entry level sportbike.

I had a 2015 mt125 and I absolutely loved it to bits, the only thing I didn't like was the shape of the headlight and also the clocks, personal favourite feature has to me the riding position

@@petermoran3041 They have to be losing sales with this seat height. Learners need to plant both feet firmly on the ground. Ok if you're tall. If not. likre me, maybe go for the Suzuki GSXS 125 785mm seat height and 15hp/11kw engine.

As the biggest market for bikes isn't the USA or Europe but the east where people are shorter never understand why they make bikes mostly for tall people, must restrict the market. I'd love to take up biking but being the same height as you the bikes used by training centres to get an A2 or A licence are all this height so rather given up on the idea.

In Malaysia we got the version with 155cc with gold color usd fork and it's upgradeable till 250cc

I own MT-15.. This looks exactly same as mine but lesser CC.. I got it for 1743 pounds ! Brand new. And BTW its the costliest in its naked segment bikes in India.. You can get Apache RTR 200 4v 200cc for 1400 pounds.

So I’m 43 and have just got into motorbikes in the last couple of months - is there a reason you have to be in your twenties to like this??? I was thinking this or the Honda CB125R for a year or so while I’m learning / commuting round London

I'd go for MT-125 anyday over R series bikes since you've mentioned that you will be learning/commuting. R series bikes will be fast but not comfortable for commute and since you are still going to learn, MT has excellent handling characteristics. You can easily handle it. Still I'd suggest you to go to a dealership and go for a test ride if you can and then decide !

I'm looking to finance the 2021 MT125... I have a car with an engine light on ready to break down... My girlfriend is not happy that I want to invest into This bike... Or any bike lol. Cuz my car is ready to blow up. I'm broke as shit cuz I keep buying stuff like equipment for KZfaq like a gaming laptop and a DLSR camera... But I want this bike. I will stop at nothing to get it. I'm broke as fck but I will still pick up a big fat finance deal just to have my first bike. And i want it brand new so I don't have any unexpected problems. I only have to get past the Final Boss - my girlfriend. "I will get this bike" if that will be the last words I ever get to say... Then death do us part.

I don’t know what to say about the price of this MT 125, yesterday I’ve visited a KTM dealer and they have the Duke 125 at £3499, if that’s not a bargain I don’t know what it is

To have services on the duke is way more expensive. I was looking at a duke in norway for 4200 pounds and a mt 125 for 4900 pounds. I was going for the duke but then i realized that taking services on the duke cost almost the double. Asides from that i like the design on the mt 125 more.

Yeah but the ktm isn't reliable. They suffer from failing electrics. Even on the 2021 and 2022 model. And the tft screen dislikes any kind of water. The moment you introduce it to a spec of small drops of water and the tft gets water ingres.

Because the MT-03 is aimed at people with an A2 license. That being said why people would ever opt for a MT-03 instead of a restricted MT-07 is beyond me.

Dont get your hopes high .. Even if this bike comes to India..it will look completely different..the body will change..or the instrument cluster.. If they lauch this bike as it is. Which is not going to happen..even of it does..thw cost will be 1.4 lakhs for sure..and noone will pay 1.4 lakh for a 125cc

I like how they've made it so different to the previous model, i can't honestly see it being any quicker tho, despite tech-y valve timing, 15hp is 15hp, just delivered slightly differently. Shame they still don't sell it with adjustable clutch and brake levers, especially for this price thats a bit of a short fall.

PLZ HELP. I bought one recently and when the bike is warmed up it starts making like a whistle sound and it becomes louder when revving. I tried locating it and and it sounds like it comes from the cilinder head, but im not sure.

@@Veskari29 i guess thats personal preference. But on another note, does your bike make a rattling noise above 6k rpm? Mine becomes very loud and I cant figure out what it is. As soon as I drop below it goes away. Ive checked all the fairings and taken it to Yamaha and they said its not engine related.

urbanfireblade my headlight is very bad I can hardly see anything at night. Ordered some led bulbs so hopefully will help a little.
