@@carthage7757 I am so tired of the same'ol BS point. Yes, I am basing my opinion on you tube vid. The same way A. Pettinato does it and same way you do it. 1-Everybody gets digital music from you tube, and 2- with everything else being equal, comparing within videos gives a perfectly fine profile of what what things sound like. If you cannot ear differences between, for example, JBL and Klipsch played on you tube, then why are you even here? Or even bother with stereo in general? Your ears are obviously shot.

Yes, any of Yamaha’s NS series. And that’s not a dry sound though. However, their tweeters are not great and a sound scene is not precise. And that’s not a judgement of the yt video))

@@carthage7757 I think it's you that know nothing, if you got really good headphones you can hear how good a system is Even on KZfaq and I agree this system is very two-dimensional and flat sounding $15,000 speakers what a joke, Yamaha is not high-end and never will be, mid-fi at best lol

I have a pair of Yamaha's excellent NX-N500 mini monitors. A/B active self powered, XLR balanced and wireless and ethernet lan for Yamaha's Musiccast multi room streaming platform. What i have sounds amazing. I can only imagine Yamaha making streaming network version of these speakers in active version. The sound d would be out of this world. I'm still waiting for Yamaha to make a new mini monitor network speaker.

very nice system ,this yamaha are very good sounding some do not refer yamaha when talking about good speakers but some monitors i bought in the 70´s still using them on my home studio assembled in 1970 ,with improvements till today, also have accuphse power amplifiers from the 70´s the last i bought was made by Eng. Carver that later in the 80´s bought a entire amplification system made by him in it´s own name "CARVER" and some huge Tannoy speakers to cope with it, i can´t move them not even with help from my son ,already 50 years old, we have to put them on wheels and only then can be moved but hardly

That sounds beautiful, I don't know why the comments. I didn't sound them in real life, but just have to point out a lot of companies that make high-end systems also make entry level, or at least start from mid. KEF, Dali, Bowers&Wilkins, even Focal has some not-so-expensive models - I think the science (The physics and engineering of speakers, electronics etc.) for a cheap speakers and expensive is the same, but of course the materials are much improved, so you get a more high end system. We have in film school a 500$ euro Yamaha active speakers, and I think they sound nice for the price, so I can actually imagine it could be good.

Most of the times yes, but when they are this close together, this will probably give the more realistic soundstage without losing much focus with a room this size (this is just a quess)

Caros procurem por Vanessa da Mata - "Caixinha de Música ao vivo" , na minha opinião a melhor cantora brasileira junto com a Monica Salmaso. Que recomendo muito procurar por "Noites de Gala , Samba na Rua" , onde canta músicas do grande compositor brasileiro Chico Buarque.

Scusate, ma lo spazio che c'è tra il finale e il ripiano superiore è sufficiente per una una corretta aerazione ? In quelle condizione scalda molto o riesce a dissipare comunque il calore? Lo chiedo perchè devo comprare il suddetto finale e anche io ho un mobile porta elettroniche non molto alto (26.5 cm) Grazie

Off the vumetre. If your system have enough resolution, you will hear a good improvement in bass with vumetre off 😉

Great sound but in Canada they cost $25,000 a pair! About $18,000 in the US. They are simply not that much better than original NS 1000s to justify such a ridiculous price. I don't know why companies charge so excessive for legacy products. Inflation has jumped roughly five times since the 1978 but these are more than 25 times the cost of the original NS 1000s.

Oddly, these speakers greatly prefer tube amps... I hate tube amps, but when i auditioned these with a good tube amp, they came alive vs the 30k solid state amp they were first hooked up to... go figure.

They sound better with a three inch lift on casters screwed into the massively over engineered stands. The drivers are all house made of the same material so the integration is deceptively smooth. I was still listening to them while my wife was at the counter paying for them.

Купольный СЧ звуковое прошлое. Куча огрехов в воспроизведении нижнего диапазона СЧ.

Это просто в эту тему не лезут те, кто не умеет строить этих динамиков и делать на них акустику. И звукового прошлого никакого нет - 90% тогдашних фундаментальных знаний и конструкций, это звуковое настоящее и всё обозримое будущее. ATC, DYNAUDIO, PMC, ProAC ... - это кто им вздумал быть учителем в построении спикеров?

Проблема купольных СЧ обратна чашеобразным, как 20гдс/15гд-11, но при это выпуск подобных динов не прекращается... Идеален плоский, но и их преследуют огрехи в силу несовершенства технологий и материалов.

@@SHAMANN7777 Я думаю, что у всех трёх вариантов, есть, как слабые, так и их сильные стороны, а самое главное, как худшие, так и лучшие реализации. Вместо всяких "гд", послушайте лучше хотя бы самые скромные АТС на купольных среднечастотниках и все теории о "проблемах" отпадут сами собой.
