What a wonderful time to be alive and a piano player.... When I first started and lugging a Fender Rhodes suitcase around while all my friends wanted to be guitar slayers... I made the right choice. Thank you Riverton Piano I wouldn't even consider buying a piano from anyone else...🥰🥰🥰🥰

Yes, yes, yes, but when will the new N1XA with grand action be released? 🙂
@RivertonPianoCompany6 ай бұрын
We haven't heard anything definitive yet, but we'd expect one within the next year.

What would be the Roland equivalent to the Yamaha Nu1xa? The LX 708?
@RivertonPianoCompany5 ай бұрын
Yep! That's what I would have said - the Roland LX708.

Any idea why the Kawai NV5S is about almost double the price? Here in Canada, the NV5S retails for about CAD $12500, while the NU1XA is about CAD $6800. Crazy!

NO! ...and I recently played the NV5S. It did NOT feel good! Of course, this is just an opinion, but I thought it played like mud - VERY slow and unresponsive. So weird.

The front panel can be easily removed by owners right?
@RivertonPianoCompany4 ай бұрын
It was easy for us to remove it while filming this video. That said, I wouldn't recommend removing it. You'd lose access to the music rest, your fallboard and two of the piano's speakers.
@manuelthomas83114 ай бұрын
Could you provide some steps for disassembling the front fallboard?
@RivertonPianoCompany4 ай бұрын
Not here. Since we don't recommend doing it yourself, we don't want to explain how to do it here. If you contact your local Yamaha dealer, however, they can tell you how to do it.

The NU1XA is the updated version of the NU1X

Yep! It's the newest version of that piano.

Lol, what's next, NU1XAZbsjejdjekrk? Or has NU2X been taken?

lol Believe us, we agree. There's no obvious rhyme or reason to Yamaha's model numbering. We've given up on trying to figure it out. lol

How does it physically feel compared to the NU1X?
@RivertonPianoCompany6 ай бұрын
We thought it felt exactly the same. All they changed in the action was the sensor system (as far as we could tell).

@@RivertonPianoCompany Any info about when the N1x will change the new sensor system? What are the pros of the new sensor system?
@RivertonPianoCompany6 ай бұрын
We haven't heard anything definitive yet, but we'd expect something to happen within the next year. We list the pro's of the new design in the video: higher resolution sensing data, fewer fail points and almost no maintenance.

... Nice piano - but no soundboard - like kawai NV5S...
@RivertonPianoCompany8 күн бұрын
The "soundboard" feature on the NV5S is just a gimmick. It's just a big speaker with a transducer. There is no acoustic benefit because it doesn't have strings, it's not full-sized and it doesn't have any acoustic characteristics. The transducers attached transmit vibrations to the wood in the same way the transducers in a speaker send vibrations to the speaker cone/core. Kawai's "soundboard" is just a flashy way to do the same thing.
