This might be a good time to buy the P-121 while it still exists. I did. No regrets. It is an even better time to buy the P-125a if you want 88 keys anyway. The price difference of P-125a : P-225 is insane.

Why the DGX670 CFX sounds more natural? Looks like they cheaped out the samples of the CFX for the P series. Also no new voices even the strings were still crap. Should at least included some guitars and synths. For 900$ this is kinda overpriced and lacking. You are better than this Yamaha.

I don't understand the price point at all either; the competition all offer better specs for less money. The difference between this and the 125a is a new design and bringing back the full USB capabilities that 125 had, and increasing the price by a third.

I agree with you. I don’t understand why Yamaha used the tinny and harsh sounding CFX sample on the P225. The CFX on DGX670, YDP184, P515 sounds more realistic. Even the classic Power Grand CFIII sample (from Motif 8, MM8, DGX630, Clavinova Grand Piano #2 patch, and is on this P225 as well - Live Grand) is more realistic than this cheapened CFX sample. The Shigeru Kawai SK EX sample on Kawai ES120 is more realistic too. Also, why are all the other sounds the same? And why are the keys not all matte/simulated ebony & ivory keytops like the Kawai competition? I grew up playing Yamaha keyboards/digital pianos but I’m starting to dig some of the newer Kawai models more than the newer Yamahas. You are better than this Yamaha.

@@Jefferson4026 No conozco como es el nuevo teclado del P225 pero si es similar al P125 entonces el P515 sigue siendo mejor por construcción de teclas, sonidos binaural de CFX más los demás sonidos y más funciones internas. Ah y que el P515 tiene el otro piano el Bosendorfer

So... Basically is a P 125 with a barely different plastic case :) Yamaha if you see this message i'm able to answer questions about hypotetic new products. This one looks prettier but nothing really relevant. So much to improve still :/

Mi da l'impressione che ultimamente la Yamaha,cambia il nome ma i suoni sono sempre quelli,anzi( io ho il P515)il CFX è decisamente peggio su questo P225.E gli altri sono sempre di derivazione di modelli di quindici anni fa.Morale,forse la Yamaha ci prende un po per scemi?.Un altra cosa che non capisco e perche la Yamaha è leader negli arranger,cosa costa loro fare un piano leggero,tipo P45,con incluso un arranger,invece di mattoni pesantissimi?.In questo Casio e cento volte meglio,ed anche KORG.
