Hey, what's up, y'all? Steve here from Home Studio Gear Reviews, and today I'm excited to introduce my latest addition to the studio-a brand new Yamaha PSR.E 373 Keyboard. I'm stoked to share with you all why I chose this specific keyboard and what makes it stand out for me.
Before we dive in, don't forget to hit that subscribe button, give this video a thumbs up, and feel free to drop your questions and comments in the section below. Now, let's unbox this bad boy and check it out!
First things first, the packaging ensured that the keyboard arrived safe and sound, with Styrofoam and protective covering keeping it well-protected. Inside the box, you'll find the power pack, a sturdy stand, and the manual-everything you need to get started.
So, why did I go with the Yamaha PSR.E 373? Well, I already own several keyboards, but this one stood out for a few reasons. Firstly, it's much more affordable than some of my other options, which is always a plus. Plus, it's super lightweight and portable, perfect for taking outside and playing in the park or wherever inspiration strikes.
One thing that sealed the deal for me is the built-in speakers. I initially considered using a Bluetooth speaker, but I found that the latency was too much of a hassle, especially when playing with my AirPods. With this keyboard, I can play directly without any additional speakers, making it so much more convenient.
Another great feature is that it runs on six AA batteries, which means I can play without worrying about finding an electrical outlet. Plus, it has an Aux-in, allowing me to jam along with my favorite playlists on my phone. And if I want to use it as a MIDI controller for my DAW or laptop, it has a USB port for that too.
Let's talk about the sound! The PSR.E 373 offers a variety of voices, including pianos, electric pianos, organs, and more. I particularly love the funky EP sound, perfect for adding some sauce to my playing. And the realistic keys on this keyboard really impressed me-quality touch and feel, even though it's not a fully weighted keyboard.
Now, it does have its limitations. I wish it had a pitch bend feature for some expressive playing, but for its price and portability, I can live without it. The lack of touch screen and the inclusion of a manual might seem outdated, but honestly, they still serve their purpose well.
To sum it up, the Yamaha PSR.E 373 is an excellent option for those on a budget who want a versatile and lightweight keyboard. It may not have all the bells and whistles of high-end models, but for playing on-the-go or in casual settings, it's a winner. I'm looking forward to exploring more sounds and features as I continue to use it in my home studio.
Thanks for tuning in, and remember to check out the links in the description for more info and updates. Until next time, keep creating, and I'll catch you on the next review. Peace!

The PSR E-3X3 series is really the best keyboard in its price range by far. People will rave about Casio CTX or CTS and Roland Go Keys, but nothing beat this series overall. Even if those other models have better sounds here and there, they all feel like toys, and the Yamaha is a freaking tank!

A decent keyboard, OK for beginners but wouldn`t go furthur than that. I`ve played for years but stopped some time ago when the keyboard I had for years finally packed up. Started up again recently and thought I`d try this one and although it has some good sounds and styles, lacks overall quality which often makes it a bit difficult trying to get back onto some of my old stuff, even allowing for a bit of rustiness on my part. I probably will get another, likely a PSR E473 which is a class above this one, maybe should have got one of those to start with. One fault with the 373 which others have mentioned is that the registration memory doesn`t seem to work so you can`t save any setups, although it does save split point, fingering and touch sensitivity.

Following my newbie aspiration. I came up to this YA PSR E373 as being the perfect choice for someone like me. Feature rich, relatively affordable and most important with a series of readily available learning features. Perfect for the newbie. But lacking on the E473. From your own description. You already carry a baggage of experience even if slightly rusted. So I guess you're the target client for the E473. While my 0 experience makes the E373 the top of my aspirations. ;-)

@@crpth1 The e373 should be fine for someone like yourself, I`ve never really looked into those learning features but they`re sure to be a help. The E473 is a bit more complicated but the styles are much the same as the 373 although there are more of them, and even though I`m a bit lazy when it comes to learning new features, it shouldn`t be too difficult to change. Meanwhile I`m happy to carry on with the 373 ftb, it has its limitations but is still a very useful instrument and seems to be quite popular.

You were making more noise with your figures by how you were hitting the keys so aggressively and clumsy than the sound coming from the machine, the video is not bad, but just because this keyboard is under couple hundred bucks doesn't mean you should treat it as a disposable. thanks for sharing though, enjoy.
