I do not agree. Ok, a nice feature of the SX900 is the chord looper. PA1000 has a chord sequenzer as well. But Korg has aftertouch, like the top keyboards and the rotary handling is awesome. Then connect an external screen to the SX900, you need an ugly USB adapter, however Korg has a HDMI output. For native sounds choose the Yamaha, for progressive ones the Korg. Ok, i like the knob layout of Yamaha, but the fact, that the PA1000 is closer to the PA4X/5X as the SX900 to the Genos made my descision easy. Korg PA1000! Only comparing from a sheet/website is not serious.

I played both. Pa1000 speakers are better sounding than sx900

Nice.how you compare sx900 vs Korg pa3x?I can buy pa3x with 1400 euros used but without speakers.

Can you import a drum midi file created in Superior Drummer or any DAW to start the creation of a new style in either of these keyboards ?

I have my own SX900 and I really love it and this video shows me I made the right choice. Thanks for good work. P.S. please make a playlist with your all videos English version.

These prices I found in Guitar Center. Before the prices were almost the same but Korg rised up the price.

Korg PA1000 have better OS and features but Yamaha have better build quality(keys, buttons, joystick). Yamaha have better factory sounds but Korg have sampler.

Styles are better of Korg pa 1000 than yamaha psr sx900 ......drums are more realistic in Korg pa 1000

Fact: on the second-hand market you get a PA1000 a lot cheaper than a SX900. There must be a reason why other than that the SX900 is more recent. I would like to know your opinion. Also, how does a Motif XS fare soundwise against these two arrangers?

Yes Korg is better than Yamaha as an arrangers for me, but I like more Yamaha than Korg as a workstations.

Tiho, you are comparing Yamahas Demos to live playing - that is not fair. Yamaha studio tricks up their DEMOS to make them sound better, everyone knows that!

I did test SX900 and PA1000 in my studio. I like more SX900 factory sounds and styles then PA1000 and SX900 has better keys than PA1000. PA1000 has better OS and is more usable than SX900. PA1000 dos not require any external software to work on arranger. Both keyboard are good but I really do not like quality of the PA1000 keys. That is why I prefer SX900. But I prefer Korg PA4 for live performing more then Genos. That is just my opinion but I have respect for different opinions. If you prefer Korg PA1000 because of usability, workflow or anything else you are right.

If you are the SX900 owner then you should know the styles and factory sounds setting are like the demos. It was sounds so good because of the performer are very skilled to utilize it, no trick on it.

Korg keys are slippery. I always tend to sleep my figures. this is the mejor reason why I switched from Korg to Yamaha

I agree that Yamaha have better keys than Korg. Genos keys are better than Korg PA4 keys.

Unless you are pro users and done all the customization and tuning, or else it sounds like a toys compare to SX900 right out of the box.

Your comparison suffers from one huge wrong assumption: they are about the same price. The Yamaha is almost $1,000 more expensive than the Korg, which makes things totally different. I don't know what kind of money you enjoy, but for most amateur musicians, such a difference is a major argument for choosing a keyboard.

In Canada Korg PA4 76 k oriental and Genos 76k are about the same price. It is much more Korg keyboard sold than Genos from information that I have.

@@Tiho2012 In Australia Korg Pa4X is around $1000 cheaper than Yamaha. The PA1000 has better sounds and styles than Yamaha because you can edit them. The Yamaha styles are over the top and cheesy.

Is it just me? Or am I tripping? Why da hel in India Yamaha Psr SX900 is wayyyy cheaper than Korg Pa1000?????? Its almost like Yamaha Psr SX900 is A WHOLE WHOPPING 950 USD (₹70,000) *CHEAPER* than Korg Pa1000. I just simply don't understand. The SX900 is available for ₹90,000 - ₹95,000 ($1300 approx.) Where the Pa1000 is almost like ₹1,50,000 to ₹1,70,000 ($2100 to $2300 approx.) Note that I've mentioned the selling price of both the keyboards currently in the market.

I have both ..i purchased yamaha psr sx 900 at 1,00,000 Indian Rs and korg pa 1000 at double the price 2,00,000 indian Rs.. my opinion after using both The yamaha keys are superior , touch screen ui easier to comprehend but sound quality korg is better. I purchased Yamaha PSR SX 900. from Amazon AND Korg PA 1000 from offline dealer. Korg online dealers are charging 2,25,000 for the same.

As far as your comparison, you played "Demo Sounds" from Yamaha as opposed to "some guy playing the Korg". That's not the same thing. A Demo sound is created by Professionals to show off the instrument to its best advantage. The Korg guy is just playing 'something'. As far as muddiness goes, that is a clearly defined frequency band (around 100hz) that can be easily filtered in any DAW -- and perhaps on the Pa1000 itself -- completely unfair comparisons -- you came to this party with pre-conceived conclusions! BTW: all the "fine materials" you spoke of on PSR-SX900 are all PLASTIC -- admittedly good plastic though. I also think you underestimated the depth of the editability of all Korg sounds. To be fair, you said or implied that these sounds were virtually out-of-the-box factory sounds; and you merely hinted that Korg's sounds could be made sound just as good, with a little tweaking. Key-feel is subjective. I'll still take the Korg -- any day -- for its depth of features, the Sequencer, Backing Sequence and Step Backing Sequence Recording, and many more features on Korg lacking on Yamaha.
