Lul. The thing with your h2 is that it makes so much torque that it actually rotates the Earth around your wheels and not the other way around.

What speed does that happen? Someone told me years ago it was 150, then i went that fast and nope, no way - still stripes. Still easy to see. Must be like 275-350mph maybe.

lifeisgood070 depends on the FPS of the camera. Doesn’t happen in real life except at crazy speeds you can’t achieve on a bike.

I love the autobahn, and the way most people drive there. You very rarely run into left lane cruisers on the autobahn, unlike here in Texas where people seem to consider the left lane on the highway a cruising lane just like any other lane. Doesn't seem to help at all that they put up signs saying "Left lane is for overtaking only". People will still just putter along in the left lane, not giving a damn about faster drivers wanting to pass.

Yep, you've got my 929RR beat. Well said with the errors as well. I had to get a speedo tuner after my sprocket set went on. Different feeling a lot slower reading a lower number while riding, but with hour commutes, you want to know your correct speed. Kudos on the max out!

The 15-20 R1's have very accurate speedometers due to taking speed off both wheels instead of off the front sprockets due to the ABS system. So you can throw whatever sprockets you want and it will never effect the speedo.

The R6 2009 I had would run 160mph with stock gearing it had plenty of power left but no rpm’s.

Weather conditions can also affect top speed. The outdoor temperature, elevation, humidity, and wind speed and direction all come into play.

176 or 8 or whatever that was, pretty dammed good! It did seem to hit a wall there, you weren't gonna get much more out of it. My 04, by GPS, clocked in at 181. I pulled off with it having a bit more to go, almost redline. I don't know what mods you have (mine: -1 c/s, Graves full ti, stacks, power commander with custom map, speedo healer). Good stuff!!

QUESTION: Does calibrating the speedo affect the odometer as well? It would be a really good idea to do it if that's the case because it'll read 10k miles when really you've only put on 9k. If anybody knows, I'm curious.

Sort of. when you change sprockets as in go up in rear/down in front it gives you better acceleration. downside is your speedo will read quicker, which in turn makes your odometer also turn over quicker. say you traveled 90miles distance but it will record that you have traveled 100miles. Actual figures vary depending on sprockets so this is an example. Also when your really doing 60miles hr it reads 72miles hr... or if you did the opposite and went down on the rear/up in the front everything will be the other way around. Getting it calibrated (I fitted a yellow box) which than makes it read true(Cause I use to daily my ride I hated it when it read wrong). so now calibrated it shows 60miles/hr true and traveled 90miles it really is 90miles in distance....

my project bike from 1981 had the speed sensor built into the front axel, so the key to a true read would be to keep the factory circumference tire on the front. or like in most cars, change the gears in the sensor mechanism according to the tire size. So on bikes like that, changing sprockets or even rear tire size would have no effect on speed.

I appreciate your honesty, unlike others. I'm realistic about my bikes performance being a ZX6r. My bike speedo is 7% off and my best is a 170mph indicated. which translates to 158 mph. So tired of other ZX6 riders claiming a bogus numbers just because the speedo says otherwise. Give up a 600 will only do at best 165 mph even after work. Max rpm is max rpm which with factory gearing is 156 - 165 mph. You may get there quicker with more hp but top speed is about rpm and gearing.

When I first got my 2014 r6 I weighed about 190 lbs and I topped it out and the speedometer said 164, I doubt I was going that fast but if the top speed on the 1000 only reads 10 mph faster that makes me sad. Also how much do you weigh. I gained 60 pounds since I got the bike and now it’s a lot slower
