This sounds like a guy in a good relationship talking about his ex. He thinks he's doing good because he's not saying anything bad about his current girlfriend, the opposite even. But when he's talking about his ex (the R3) you just feel the passion and the true love :D

Yo nice vid n also nice R7. Just wanna know if the seating position on the R7 is really uncomfortable and does your back and/or wrist start hurting after an hour or so? I'm coming from an R3 and am looking at the R7.
@RickyMoto6 ай бұрын
It’s not too aggressive and fairly comfortable for me. When I upgraded from the R3 it was noticeably more angled but not to the point where I’m super bent. The r$m7 feels just right and my hands don’t hurt unless it’s a long ride and put my weight on it. Prior to getting my r7 I rode a modified r7 and that felt wildly aggressive since the owner had aftermarket seat and rear set which If you watch a video I made a while back it shows my first impression of the r7 kzfaq.info/get/bejne/o7SXaNhn2pzYc6M.htmlsi=Sx2lKmFr9QLl9XJQ

Been riding a scooter for 1y and a drz400 for a few months(on road). Im looking into a sport bike, do you think I should get an r3 or r7? Thank you!
@RickyMoto Жыл бұрын
Since you mentioned riding a 400, moving up to an r7 would be a nice upgrade. An r3 on the other hand will still give you the sport bike characteristics but will feel similar to a 400 performance wise. Depends on what your looking for

i have a 125 and im looking at both of these atm i was wondering if you think the r7 or the r3 would be a better choice for someone who already has experience riding even though id have to buy the r7 restricted due to a2 bike laws)
@RickyMoto6 ай бұрын
I started on a 125 and jumped to the r3 and it did feel like a major upgrade. I was pretty shocked at its performance since it was more than double but then I’ll have to admit i got over it quite quickly within a matter of a month I already had the feeling of something something faster. If you’re looking for something that’s more future proof and something to grow into a r7 would be great for that but you’d have to be very cautious if your not used to the much higher power and size/weight compared to your 125. The r3 is a more seamless transition if you wanna go throughout the cc levels and get the practice in but I’d say it’s a bike youd most likely would outgrow at some point.

I trust your opinion more than yammie noob. Im early 20s 6’3 190, lean af, I have only 1 riding experience which was a 2003 Yamaha r1 up to third gear just around the town I was in and haven’t had any experience since then. My only use for a bike is to ride to work which is in walking distance or to a city that’s an hour away on the highway. I want to ride the curvy roads in the town I live in. I’m just not sure which bike I should buy. I have enough for either and top line gear, I would want cheaper insurance and I’ve driven manual cars my whole life since I was 11. I love speed but I’ve gone insanely fast before… just not on a bike. Help me out man! Also I eventually want a brand new panigale v2 and I want to hit the tracks and race within the next years
@RickyMoto6 ай бұрын
Thanks for sharing! If you want to save on insurance then a pricier bike might not be the way to go since it’ll really jack up the price. But also you wouldn’t want something underpowered bard in your experience. Anything from a 300-600/700 is great for cornering since it’s lower in weight, with the 300s being more nimble and easier to corner. In terms of power if you want some speed going for a 600/700cc might be the way to go since a 300 does lack in power esp when ur going in a straight line you’ll notice it (you mentioned your weight being 190) it’ll be noticeable on a 300 the lack of power. Personally I’m 120lb and the r3 felt mighty quick but when I had a passenger around 90lb on my back it really bogged the bike down. I’m now on a R7 and really love it it’s a great jump from the r3 in power yet still has very similar handling characteristics to the r3. If you want a even faster bike then by all means if you have the budget but for cornering lugging a big bike around can get tough

id say get a ninja 400. good bike, cheaper, and enough power to be a track/curves bike

Hi, I’m 34 years old. I’ve only owned manual cars and raced on track from my 20s to 30. I have ridden a GSXR 750 around the city once and CBR600RR around the city once. Both on separate occasions with no issues. I felt comfortable up shifting down shifting and maneuvering. Now that I am older I am more mature and feel that I have a lot of self control. I am now looking at purchasing my first bike. Would you recommend a R3 or R7?
@RickyMoto11 ай бұрын
Since you have experience riding tho bigger bikes I think the r7 would be a better fit. The r3 might feel a bit underpowered

Price is not an issue for me.
@RickyMoto6 ай бұрын
It depends on what you’re looking for. If you want something nimble to get around town that you can beat on the r3 is a great option. But if you’re doing more highway runs and longer rides the r7 is more powerful and more stable. It’s nimble too but it doesn’t have the control the r3 would have if u wanna stunt around since it’s much heavier
@opps9669 Жыл бұрын
What mods do you recommend getting for the r3?
@RickyMoto Жыл бұрын
I’d say first thing exhaust, completely changes the riding experience and enhances safety since it makes people around you aware. A tune should follow as it corrects any fuel air ratio issues. Cosmetically you can do whatever you want really but major thing would be exhaust, potentially sprocket change to enhance acceleration/top speed depending on config

Im 5'5 thinking about either of these my main concern is highway riding cuz i Have a small commute here and there that lasts about 1.5Hours is the R3 still a good choice for that?
@RickyMoto10 ай бұрын
The r3 is a pretty solid commuter. I’m 5’7” and able to flatfoot. 5’5” im assuming you’ll be tippy toeing which is fine too, but you can always adjust the suspension or modify the height to fit your preference. I used to ride for 1-2hrs down to Brooklyn on the highway for school with it and it was solid. On top of that solid mpg too

I’m thinking of getting the r3 soon, but when I look at other reviews it looks small so I’m deciding between these two. I’m about 5’9, is r3 going to look small on me?
@RickyMoto Жыл бұрын
I’m 5’7 and the r3 felt just right. I’m also a bit slimmer so it looked proportional when I was on it. I think you’ll be fine on it, the r7 on the other hand looks slightly big on me esp when I can’t flat foot on it

I’m 29, 6’2, 220 lbs, with no experience. Would you recommend the r7 over the r3? Obviously I would respect the power of the bike.
@RickyMoto Жыл бұрын
I’d say the r7 would be more comfortable for you as it has a taller seat height and overall space. After transitioning from the r3 to the r7 the power jump wasn’t so drastic to the point where I wouldn’t recommend it to a beginner. The lower rpms are quite forgiving so it should be manageable for someone even without experience.

I’m 16 so what do you think would be better for me as a complete noob and never touched a bike and I have a 15k budget. In your opinion what do you think I should do
@RickyMoto Жыл бұрын
I’d say take the MSF course if ur allowed to, not sure about age requirements to take it. That way you’ll get a feel for what a bike feels like. And when ur ready I’d say start off with a 300cc bike to learn & grow into.
@xhncx10 ай бұрын
I’m about 172cm, 19, 137 lbs, with no experience whatsoever. I was thinking about getting the r7 because it’s financially hard to save up all again to upgrade (keep in mind i still have to buy gear and do my license) but I’m afraid that if i buy the r7 I will end up wrecking it (meaning it will fall down a couple hundred times) so what do you think is best?
@RickyMoto10 ай бұрын
The r3 would be not only more budget friendly esp if you need to buy gear & overall maintenance and running cost is much less as parts are cheaper for the r3. On top of that without any experience the r7 might be a bit much to handle. Not to say you can’t start off on an r7 but you gotta keep tame with it cuz it’s a bigger bike with a heavier weight so your mentioning of fearing wrecking or dropping the bike as a new rider kinda steers me away from recommending the r7 for you.

I have a macbor fun plus 125 since 2022, it is my 1st bike, i am 31 years old, i am 5'8 and 210lbs, i just want a bike that can reach a max speed if 180/190kmph, to use it everyday for 50km on speedways or even highways, and i want to keep that bike for at least 6 years, i feel the r3 is more than enough but a just have found an r7 limited to 35kw, and i cannot decide between both bikes, what do you think?
@RickyMoto3 ай бұрын
as a long term bike i feel like an r7 would be better due to the ability to grow into it and it has lots of usable power. the r3 is a great jump up from the 125 but at some point if you like doing highway runs you might crave for more power (unless u just wanna cruise) the r3 is quite capable for the highway and getting up to the speeds you’re looking for. something else to consider is the r7 being a bit bigger and heavier helps fight against wind, lastly the pricing difference is nearly double for the r7 over the r3 so lots to think about
