I've recently discovered you can stuff a tube in the swing arm :D, so I have one tube like you, behind the front fairing and then the 21 inch front wheel tube is inside the swing arm :D cheers mate, good detailed info!

Brilliant summary! I am having more difficulty than you hiding tool’s and parts on the bike. Tighter packing required!

It is amazing what you are having on your bike, I am really impressed. But I fully understand your approach and have the same opinion just maybe in other scale and possibilities. All the best on your trip and it was a pleasure meeting / talking to you in the Sahara.

Thank you, it was really nice to meet you. Yea I'm carrying so many different items and it does look pretty intimidating but it packs all rather well. The independence is so much more important than the weight. Hope you made it safely to next destination.

Good question! Not sure, I guess the lithium battery which is about 2kg lighter probably balances it out. The liquids are the most annoying.

Ugh, I know you're intentions are to be helpful but when I see all these tools it's overwhelming. I don't know how to use half of them, plus it would be difficult to pack them all. This makes me feel frustrated like I shouldn't be taking long trips without more knowledge and skill-but I LOVE taking motorcycle trips!

Hey, If it's overwhelming, simplify it. I didn't say you have to take this with you, I said I take this with me. Everyone's kit will be different. If you don't know how to use the tools, it's fine. You will adjust your riding and planning accordingly. There are garages all around the world which will help you if you need. If you can't fix a tire on the road or something else, you will stop someone who will help you to move the bike to mechanic. I met people in Tajikistan showing up in the MoozToo service just handing over their bike to a mechanic saying "Fix what's wrong..." and it worked for them well and they had amazing time on their trip. I've learned over the time. I have now more than 150k km traveling on the motorcycle and trust me at the beginning I didn't carry anything at all. Your kit will develop over time as you knowledge and skill. Just ride, do what you LOVE to do.

It is very personal what one packs, if you’re happy with what you take or if you know you won’t have problems to solve issues (assistance, etc…) the kit will be very different, indeed.

It is the 1/4, so far it handled it all good. For the 3/8 I have the T-thing (I really need to Google how it’s called) 😂

It seems, you are prepared for any technical problems. A lot of stuff and weight. For long riding necessary!?

For me I really like the feeling I'll be able not to get stuck. I already carry load of gear so these items are "drop in the ocean". Here in Tunisia I've already used, zip-ties, clutch cable repair kit (for other rider), tire spoons, trail stand and the compressor, oil for my air filter and so on... So... I don't think it's necessary but it's what I found works well for me and fellow riders.
