Pawlin, thank you for this review. You use the word "cheap", which I don't believe is correct. Simple, yes. Inexpensive, yes! But the engine and gearbox are outstanding and the frame as well. So it does not have all the electronics that some motorcycles have, but so what? From there comes the low price and I think for what you want and pay for, the quality is outstanding. How many times did you have to take it to a shop for warranty work? Maybe not at all. Ask KTM owners about perceived quality and reliability of their bikes, that cost 50% more and the often say that reliability is a problem. I don't think reliability is ever a problem with a Yamaha. That to me is quality! By the way, if you come back north through France, will you pls contact me. You have a free place to stay and meals for as long as you wish! Travel safely!

A nice detailed and honest review Pavlin .With the front suspension it may be worth trying out the adjustments . You never know, it might just turn out good enough to avoid any future cost of new springs . I hope your trip is going well .

I almost ordered suspension upgrades and the camel kit to stabilise the cockpit shaking. But my dealer told me to just try it out for a while, and I honestly couldn’t care less about the shaking - and the suspension is just fine for my driving.

Front forks are adjustable for compression & rebound My Friend. Look at the top of the Forks and you will see the adjustment slots.

Great review! These people who complain about horsepower are the new people who listen to other new people with KZfaq channels. I rode my 34HP Suzuki DR650 from San Francisco to Mexico. About 3000 miles in all sorts of different terrain. 99.9999% (literally) of the time, it was fine. The only two times I had 'difficulty' was riding in a very strong headwind on the highway fully loaded. I think the max speed I could do was 50mph. Then going up mountains at high elevation. Again, my max speed was 50mph. A little annoying sometimes but I still can go anywhere with it. Just a little slower sometimes. 70hp on the Tenere should be more than enough for just about anyone. Glad you love the bike. Soon someday I'll get mine!

Always a great review as usual. I have to add that the suspension is fully adjustable. Front an back. Try it. It makes a huge difference. 👍🤩

Get the wind screen adjusters. I added them to mine and it completely changes the wind buffeting on your helmet with just about a 5 cm lift. It’s pretty good quality and cheap on Ali express. It also doesn’t change the look of the bike. Great videos, stay safe on your trip!

Rally raid UK can supply you a stronger sidestand spring. Just did a 300 mile round trip to a bike rally with wife on back and full luggage. No trouble for the T7 on standard suspension, and returned 70 mpg 👍

A barebones solid motorcycle, I am happy with mine it has been fun adding things I like to it. It is a little top heavy but I don't plan on doing serious off-road because my skills are not there yet. The CP2 engine is one of the best proven ever.

On my tenere, the handlebars will wobble/shake if I let it go like you did. You think it’s a fault, or just how the stock tires behave?

Good review. One important rectification: the front and rear suspension IS adjustable (compression and rebound). You can find plenty YT clips on how to do it yourself

it is worth taking it to a suspension centre, it is fulky adjustable a slightly harder spring is lifechanging!

Mpg is pretty important nowadays and especially when you do big miles.Great all round machine.

8:49 Are you questioning if T7 needs ABS because it is not that powerfull ? How does power relate to need for ABS. If anything this bike actually needs ABS as it is likely that it will be equipped with 70/30 or even 50/50 tyres. These tyres are known not to grip well on wet sealed roads and they tend to slip suddenly so ABS will definitely save the day here and there on sealed road. When off-road disable ABS, when back onto tar road enable it again. Easy. Not sure why are you constantly complaining about ABS. There is a reason why ABS is mandatory now in most countries around the world.

How it handles the slow hairpins? Is it capable to do the mountains with tight corners?

love the bike! If i had the money for it I would've bought one. But instead I've "settled" for another one (though still extremely happy). One thing you've said that wasn't right at 8:40 is "I don't think this motorcycle needs ABS because it isn't that powerful"...I think you meant to say TRACTION CONTROL. Every bike needs ABS. Imagine emergency braking in slippery condition like rain. Without ABS you'd wipe out even if you were Valentino Rossi.

I've seen a lot of review videos and almost everyone has some complaints about this one. Some saying it should have this, it should have that, well, then it wouldn't be priced around 10k. Point is, if you want all the comfort and technology, get a 1250GS or KTM Adventure 1290. And pay 20k for it. This bike is like a better Kawasaki KLR, but it sure as he'll isn't an Africa Twin. This bike offers a compromise of capability and reliability and price almost nothing in this middle weight class can offer, it's a unicorn of its own

I love the standard windshield look. I liked it so much that I kept it for the whole first season. But the wind noise was killing me this year (must be the Covid-19’s vaccination 😜) so I decided to change to the Gold Wing. Funny part is that T7 is so versatile that I didn’t need to change the bike actually 💪👍

12 months ago in Australia they were impossible buy, both new and 2nd hand. Today there are more than 20 for sale with many of the private sales bikes loaded with $000 of accessories. The economy is obviously biting now. Many riders here use them for reasonably serious dirt riding and the suspension can’t cut it. By the way, abs has nothing to do with power. It’s compulsory here and around the world and could save your life on the road.

Pol Tarres chose the T7 platform to make his successful world record altitude ride earlier this year. Enough said.

yamaha should make the xt700r, I just can't ride a motorcycle with windshield even with the adjustable windscreen I prefer a clean stream of wind to my face and torso like my mt07, only time will tell if I keep my t7

Hey Pavlin, as other noticed - suspension is fully adjustable. So you made a mistake in a video, it happens, but you could add maybe a comment on a video, and explain this. At least you were always honest. For the people who are yet to watch it. Because it got me confused also, i was not sure and i had to look it up to see that it actually has adjustments. Now - if they make any difference or not - that is another topic, but they are there for sure. All the best!

Hi Pavlin. I dreamed about the Tenere 700. Unfortunately, after watching it live, it turned out that with my height of 175 cm it is far too tall for me. It turned out that the Africa Twin or the Royal Enfield Himalayan would be better in this respect. However, I am going to buy a Honda CRF 300 Rally which is perfect for me. Do you think XL 50l soft luggage Will 21'Brothers fit the CRF 300 Rally?

For me, three things disqualified Tenere (sadly): Seat, handlebars, and the worst idea ever - welding muffler to the frame instead of mounting exhaust along with the frame like in the older model (using bolts). I was so close to buying it and after one hour of riding the demo model, my arse was so sore that I've just returned the bike and I said no, thanks. I'm 6'3, 250 pounds so maybe a little bit too much for this bike 😆Also handlebars were a little bit strange, I don't know... Great video anyway! All the best Pavlin!

Hi Pavlin! I am affraid Your headlight is malfunctioning. In 03:08 you show us how a "dailights" are working but uppon key turn beside these 2 "daylights", 2 other (the upper LEDs) schould turn on authomatically and they do not in your film. I am supprised I am the first one who noticed it. I have this Tenere also, also speced for Europe and there is not possibility to turn only the lowest two "daylights". Please check Your lights or if it is ok please tell how you did it? I've checked manual, for both US and EURO Teneres 700 and I am really affraid you have some electric issue... Sorry for being a bad news deliverer, but if it is headlight problem (read somewhere, that some batchs of Tenere headlights were faulty, but it was in first years,and i you've got 2021 model. Also My Tenere is from december 2020, and in 2021 Yamaha added an extra catalitic converter, so maybe they chcnged something wid headlights also... Re the shaking instruments, have a look at Nerb1 on KZfaq. He came up with a cheap fix. There are probably others around.

It is a beautifull bike. Well capable. But i bought a Norden 901 Expedition. Purely because i need a low gravity center. Getting older and health declining. A t7 becomes heavy for me when i have to pick it up several times after each other.

Hi, there isn't much new to you about the bike than what you said before. I don't really understand comparing an old motorcycle with a new one. the main difference is the engine. The old one cylinder motorcycle is weak on the road, it must have had more vibration and the acceleration was desperate. I would prefer the old transalp already. Another thing is the lights, since the new motorcycle has new lights, they need to be checked and introduced to us. I drive a lot at night or in the morning and it is very important. Saying that horsepower isn't needed or is enough I think you're getting old. if someone likes to drive aggressively on sandy roads, he needs it. if you have to overtake a truck or a bus, you also need horsepower and there is no point in arguing that there is more than enough. How does a motorcycle behave with a full fuel tank? it is situated quite high and driving on narrow sandy roads you will definitely feel the mass of liquid tilting sideways. Driving on the highway with such a narrow and tall motorcycle you will definitely feel the side wind. as a traveler, you could develop the themes of driving further. I will get on the scooter 125 and say that it is perfect, I will do 1000 km in the day and I will not feel it. I will get on the enduro and I will also do 1000 km, but I will see the differences. I tried the T7 and for me it's a bike with no emotion, so boring... Also it felt heavy when moving it and when stopped. If the only thing you care about is realiability I'm sure it's the best bike.

The HorsePower is - like u've mentioned - mostly for overtaking. It happens toooo often, when a total IDIOT in a car, drives infront of you qute slowly + does it on the LEFT side of the lane ! - And you never know, what those IDIOTS in cars, will do next, because they, usually, DO NOT look in the mirrors !!! - so yes horse power is needed, at least for passing those bad constipations. I agree that for situations like I describe, 70-75 Hp is planty, but less - can make the overtaking dangerous ☝☝🤓🤓

I am from India and Yamaha India just sucks. They have absolutely no plans of bringing this here while BMW, Triumph, Kawasaki, Ducati, Suzuki are all selling their ADVs well. And I'm only 5'6 so not sure if this even comes here, if I'll be able to ride it.
