I had a '05 20th anniversary edition Gen 1 and currently own a '14 Gen 2. I found both to be very well made with a high level of attention to fit and finish and a pleasure to ride. Only thing with the Gen 2 is the gas tank is small even though you can buy a larger after market one to give you more cruising range.

I ride a 86 vmax for some years now, this would be a solid upgrade

I had to comment on your comment! My brother had 80’s and 90’s Vmax s’ and I was astonished what they were about when he would let me ride them. I finally got a 2015 gen 2 and let me tell you what.....it is definitely an upgrade, taking nothing away from gen 1, but OH MY GOD!!!! Please, just ride one and you will be hooked, period!!! Good luck my Vmax brother.

She does reviews that make you want the bike. She did a review on a BMW K1200R with the inline 4 motor. I bought a K1200R Sport, which is basically the same bike as a R, but with a mini fairing set up. I like her reviews.

I can't see getting beat up by the wind. After having a windshield, I can't ride a bike without one. Why not have a little shield?

i just bought the new one, it handles the wind very well surprisingly enough. The old 1200 maaaan you felt the wind.... you dont really even notice the wind till 115+ on the 1700. And sidenote wind shields look like complete shit on old and new model maxs. completely destroys the look unless you get yamahas lil windscreen. which is like 300+ dollars

Awesome bike . Would look so much better without the god awful mufflers and that goofy back fender curving upwards...

Mark Beck no mods. Straight bolt on. there is a rim kit you can buy direct from YAMAHA that is a genuine VMax 240 option for the gen2

Idk why yall hating on a woman riding this thing. fine with women on gsxr1000s, but not a max. BUTTTT i do have to say this lady doesnt know shiiiiiit about the old or new max, shes getting like every stat wrong by a decent margin.
