Wish I hadn’t stumbled across this vid, at 60 years of age people think I’m drooling because I’m orally incontinent, the young in’s just don’t realise what the site of an RZ500 (even a replica) can do to us old 2 stroke lovers, what an incredible piece of work……….well done that man.

The wife would make me sell my YPVS if I even mentioned getting one.

How about you just get one anyway and stick it in the corner of the garage and when she sees it, just say 'oh that old thing, I've had that for years'. Works for me! @@lezc3733

That is a beautiful bike, good work. I had an RZ 500 as it was badged here in Australia. Every time I see one I get this horrible sinking feeling, I miss it.

That’s beautiful. For the road, I’d want a more obvious brake light. Great job, great to see 2T smoke pouring from the exhausts. Beautiful!

The battery was almost flat so it's actually much brighter than that thankfully!

My RZ is still in pieces... miles to go before I sleep... Probably won't get to it before I retire next year. Thanks for taking the trouble to make this video.

Just a gorgeous bike. I wonder how many blokes my age could actually smell the 2 stroke fumes while watching this?

I have an 89 3MA and a 1990 3MA SP, and a bunch of 3MA frames and suspensions, tanks, fairings and all the parts I could ever need, and my dream is to build a YZR500, but its almost impossible to find an engine, and when I do find one, they way out of my budget.
@thebracketfactory3 ай бұрын
That is the snag... the motors have now become very expensive.... but I hope you find one!

Hi great video, keep them coming. Just wondering what size carbs you’re using and what main jets and the related issues with taking off the original air filter
@thebracketfactory3 ай бұрын
Hi Gary, carbs are 28mm and fitted with 165 mains (but needs to go on the dyne for set up). And it will have carb socks but not fitted in the vid!

Why do you say Zed? It’s YZR okay? It’s said Zee. Saying Y Zed R sounds so wrong. You’re ruining its good name, and it’s not how Yamaha intended for it to be said.
