Releases a compact digital mixer 5 years after Behringer. Still doesnt have output delay or Side Chains on dynamics.

@3:15 If it's a full 31 band GEQ why can you only adjust up to 12 bands and not 31? For mains I Like to create gentle slopes but if 19 of the bands will be unable to move from unity my ability to do this will be extremely limited will it not? Did I miss something?

You are correct, due to limited processing power within the console, a select number of 'features' can be actuated. Specifically in this case with the 31 band EQ. Most of our installed systems using such a console still use outboard processing, be it standalone or within an amplifier. While it's understandable that EQ settings made within the console are close at hand and easy, we have found that relying on the console (any console) for such key performance features is not a 'best practice'; this due to the concerns over consoles having scenes or settings erased, memories lost, or other issues such as a console failing and needing to swap such last minute. It's far easier to keep key features and tunings within a sperate device when possible. Hope that helps!

i completely agree with you and can not really understand why they only made 12 bands available instead of 31! sometimes i really get in trouble doing a monitor-mix tuning. it would be great if they could upgrade this missing feature.

I have changed the mother board on the tf5... Everything working fine but no sound in the output except the main output & 16

hi. can aux be in post fader? so when i move the main fader it will move too. can i link aux fader from main fader?

Yes it can. You will need to access the aux page and change inputs as desired from pre to post.

Hopefully someone has an answer here, We have a 18 month old TF5 never had an issue with it but the other day fired it up for church use then out of no where during rehersal the sound output just quit. All the Omni outputs etc are as they should be recalled all our scenes and the base scene as we set a Base and save that to a new scene for eah sound guy so we have a "Base Scene" on A01 then mine one "A02" Another sound guys on A02 etc as we all have indidual styles so we have our own scenes so not to tread on each others toes. Spent hours trying to get sound out of it all inputs scenes etc do as they should we just cant get sound out for front of house. We're just waiting to hear back from Yamaha and the place we bought it to see if it's still under warranty not sure if it had 12 or 24 months warranty (hoping it had 24 so it can go in for a warranty job if it was 12 who knows how much it'll cost as Im hoping we can get it fixed as it's the best unit we've had to date, Fortunately we kept our old Presonus Studiolive 24.4.2 as a back up but personally I'd prefer the TF5 to be back in service (If I fight with the Presonus I might dig out our old Yamaha 32 channel analogue unit off memory it's an MG32/14FX) So any one have any odeas why everything else would work but the sound output / OMNI Out would randomly give up the ghost any ideas would be appreciated so we can have it back in service for Christmas (if we can have it fixed by Christmas that'll be the best Christmas Presant ever and save the 3 hour drive to the authorised Yamaha repairer if it is under warranty)

Yamaha provides a 1 year warranty. Tell them to give you an advance replacement. Same thing happened with mine and had the advance replacement within 3 days. Yamaha should have a 1 Year warranty for sure.

Exploring Fam Rang the place we desk from initially who contacted Yamaha directly, End result Yamaha rang us directly asked for the serial number and said it had a 2 year warranty so it has 6 months warranty left and to drop it off at the place we bought it and they'll look into it and repair or replace it as we told them what was doing and they said drop it off. So at currant they have it and looking into it under warranty and after the initial look they said it's the first time they've ever seen this issue and are investigating why it occurred out of the blue they said it's repairable but want to properly investigate the issue and possibly make a revised part so it doesn't occur again or if it occurs on other TF units they know what caused it. Any way it's in Yamaha's capable hands as off just before Christmas and we have a loaner unit until we get ours back as Yamaha said we'll get ours back fully operational as good as new if not better then new and if it ends up with a revised part we'll essentially be the little test piggies. So hats off to Yamaha they deserve a standing ovation and round of applause for the way they've looked after us they didn't have to but they are bending over backwards to rectify the issue and over the Christmas / New Year period to boot, Thanks to their awesome support it's only strengthened my love for Yamaha Products so Thanks Yamaha your the best.

KJ-Verada VR-Xi yeah it's not the first time it happens. Mines did the same thing in July but Yamaha does have a great costumer service and their warranties are good. I did get a replacement and the replacement had an upgrade made and the gave me nuendo live as well so Yamaha is good for taking care of customers.

I'm not going to constantly argue with you because at currant I'm finding it extremely difficult to believe you at currant due to the wrong information you have supplied. You said it has a 1 year Warranty, Yamaha say 2 years, You all of a sudden say the exact same fault causing our zero front of house and in ears output occurred on your console months ago if that was the case why not initially say the issue you had with your console an how it was rectified. If Yamaha say they have never seen this particular issue that's become faulty on our console then I'll trust Yamaha the manufacturers of the console who actually have the console in front of them for repairs rather then some "KZfaq expert" who has never seen our console or the exact issue it's having. I'll stick with and trust Yamaha on this one rather then you I don't care if it's new or repaired as long as we we one back in full working condition end of argument end of Story

Hi Yamaha we try to buy a TF5 digital mixer for our churn but it's not available in our country (India). They told that they import on December or January but not sure...what we do... please make that available for us please..we need that.....some of the dealers not responding properly.....they saw my message but no reply.... I'm asking for the availability they don't care about that...I don't know what we do...please help Mee...I am a big lover of Yamaha 😍..but the dealers are not so good...not all but in India ( chennai, Nagercoil, Karnataka) they are not responding to customer's doubts...please helo me Yamaha please.ASAP

hi there ive been struggling with the same issue as well i know the ql series do have an output delay function but i cant understand why the tf series dont have it.

I am a complete Novice I have been musician for forty years I have always owner my own MIxer and PA system.I have just bought myself a TF1 and I cannot even get a sound out of it they say its an easy thing to use at this point I am completely convinced that I have wasted my money that I will never be able to even get a sound from it let alone use it at a gig. So Bloody Confused and Totally disappointed I now know why my local music store was so reluctant to sell it to me.

Why bother to put a 31 band GEQ when you can only adjust 12 bands. Sounds like a marketing gimmick. I have the X32 and I have control of all 31 bands in then GEQ. I'm planning to build a Rack rig and I love a lot of the features in the TF but little details link having full control of your eq. that like having a GEQ rack unit with a bunch of sliders not working...what if you have a sound issue in the band you can't adjust...you wouldn't be long pulling that out of the rack and tossing it....

The behringer is for the people who KNOW how to use the mixer, I saw TWO schools with one tf3 and other behringer x32. It’s just how professional you want to be. Apple or android? Then yamaha or Behringer.
