In Chapter 7, we will see how a small button can be a big help: it's the “High Pass Filter”. So our first question: what is a “High Pass Filter”? High Pass Filter is one of the most useful tools on a live mixing console, as it leaves all the high frequencies alone, while filtering out the un-necessary low frequencies.

I'm really enjoying this series of videos. About hpf, there is no reason TF limits it up to 600hz. You could update it so you can cut more frequencies. Like eq hi-hat

When EQ'ing live do you try and make your output level after the eq equal to your input level?

ProTip #1: "See" doesn't rhyme with "Day". ProTip #2: When using 2 singers, they should be able to hear each other so they can harmonize. ProTip #3: A car horn is not a musical instrument. ProTip #4: Timing really is important in music, especially if you're blowing a car horn over just one word of the lyrics. ProTip #5: When combining horns with singers, do not play the notes at the same pitch as the vocals while the singer is singing. Choose a higher or lower harmonized note.
