But the thing is, the non stop evolving effects of Hogyoku is just complete Hax paired with KS. If Aizen wants, he'll be unstoppable. Why? Aizen with Hogyoku = Immortal Immortal = Longer fights Longer fights = Hogyoku evolving effects Constant evolving = Omnipotence Omnipotence = Claps everyone, literally everyone. You'll probably say that Yhwach has Almighty, but he's already under KS. And we all Manga readers knew that KS affects Almighty. If you think about it, like logically, Aizen was and will always be the greatest. Imagine a villain that was the MC's plot armor. Imagine that. xD

Hear me out, fellas. We can all say Yama is a smart guy but it just doesn't seem like him to make this misassumption that only Bankais whose true extent or those that have been "documented" properly can be stolen right? But in the previous chapters, Yama gets to know that his lieutenant's Bankai (that no one knew about other than Yama cause he kept it a secret )has been stolen and even goes on to kill the person who stole it. How did Yama not realize that just cause the quincies don't know the Bankai capabilities does not mean that it can't be stolen from Shinigamis. Like how can someone like Yama come to the conclusion that his Bankai can't be stolen cause its true extent wasn't know when just a few days back his lieutenant's SECRET BANKAI that no one even had an idea about was stolen right off the bat. All of the "older" captains were really reluctant to use their Bankai. Mostly because they've reached near maximum of its power, and at that point, their Bankai have area effect.. just look at Bankai of Yammamoto, Kyoraku, Uruhara.... Their Bankai could damage their allies. No wonder they only use them as a last resort.

I always thought that, because whenever you either unlock your bankai or master it after ten years, it's hardly the same blade, since the blade is you, and you change throughout those years... Then we get to captains that are really old, or had their bankais for a very long time, if their power can either go up forever or be refined (at least), it's no wonder their current bankai is only a resemblance of the one they showed when becoming captains

@@xxOnigiri99 yes, Zanpakuto is a living thing, and it evolves just like Shinigami. It is possible that Bankai changes many times. Who knows how much more can Senbonzakura advance and change, considering how younger Byakuya is compared to someone like Yammamoto.

Nah, IIRC Yamamoto's old fashioned pride got in the way of him doing everything to protect SS. He didn't get his arm restored and IIRC even Ywach said that in the earlier days of SS, Yamamoto was much scarier.

One of the many things I loved about Yamamoto's bankai was how seeing his blade shrink down to a tiny, charred, but immensely powerful katana reminded me of Ichigo's bankai reveal, which shocked Byakuya by being so small and seemingly underwhelming. A very nice point of similarity between (presumably) one of the oldest bankais and one of the newest.

There is a poetry in the concept of his zanpaktou. Using the concept of fire, the shikai is an untamed type of fire truly devastating on a spread out level only focused on the primary use of fire destruction. Whatever form it has whether it was when he fought aizen, the three beast ladies or just the typical flame burst, as you can notice, all is just for destruction - no specific form as well just like how you see fire in the wild, thus the primary use of fire. BUT the bankai is the focused concentrated, and purposeful use of fire. This version you can see the various use of fire just like how we humans uses fire apart from killing animals or cooking them. It is not just power but a smart tactical use. The different forms shows the different uses of fire. Fire gives life, Fire Protects and a lot more. Thus it is more powerful and a symbol of his wisdom - the bankai shows his age and tenure in soul society. I hope this makes sense to everyone.

Zanka no Tachi is amazing. It feels like something that Kubo was planning for quite a while. It's so visually wonderful, and so stupid strong, gives so much Yamamoto vibes, it fits perfectly.

I can agree with that. I appreciated that the bankai's theme was so related to the shikai's abilities and theme! Some of the others were unexpected to me because their shikai's abilities were so different than what their bankai became (unexpected in both good ways and bad ways).

If you notice, some of the skeletons summoned by ZnT South are holding Zanpakutou. I think that explains the meaning behind what Yama said to Shunsui about it being a monster that messed up Soul Society

Well yeah, in his monologue after Yamamoto's death Yhwach explains that his greatest weakness was going soft over the years. He claims that he once never cared about anyone, not even his own comrades, as we see in the anime opening of the Episode 7. So all those people holding Zanpakutōs are most likely all the people he accidentally killed with his own power throughout the years.

I personally think that Yamamoto was holding back so that he wouldn't destroy the Soul society and if he was truly holding back it could be that Zanka no Tachi north was severely held back so that it wouldn't destroy everything in it's path.

Yamamoto's Bankai has to be one of the most powerful abilities I've ever seen in fiction (and yes, I am aware of the ridiculous things that go on in Marvel and DC comics). Kubo definitely knew that as well, hence why he wrote it out after Yhwach "stole" it (if Yhwach had used it against Ichigo and Aizen, they would've died immediately lol). He knew that he overdid it.

If you mean in terms of strength I would probably agree, other than maybe shunsuis banaki. If you mean as a character I would argue as we never got the chance to know him or see him fight as much as other characters.

Genryusai is certainly one of the best. But I wouldn’t say THE best. He tends to stick to the rules way too much and cannot take drastic measures to adapt to the situation. He would have never let Aizen out to help the soul society. It was Kyorakus far sightedness that allowed him to see that Aizen was required if they wanted to actually beat Yhwach

Imo Yhwach only stole the bankai to spite Yamamoto as a final act of dominance over his former arch-enemy. He hates Yamamoto so much that he refuses to use the bankai for anything else, his pride won't allow it. That, and the fact he considered the Almighty to be invincible which is the source of his hubris and ultimate downfall.

One of the best moments of the final arc for me. Fire Yama pretty perfectly. Loved how it was just an ultra compressed version of his usual flames. Feel like either it or Ichimonji are the two most powerful, with abilities that are so damn different. Appreciate the time you took to make this video. Would you ever consider making a top 10 strongest characters list? Would be interesting to see your opinions on it.

North should've been a divine attack like a slash that cannot be evaded if you are within Yama's line of sight, he just cuts what he sees from any distance or range without having to touch it, and the target blows up nuclear, or fades into nothingness. Given what we saw, this wouldn't be too far-fetched.

Best bankai in the entire series. I love it. Yamamoto is such an awesome character. I wish Kubo had the balls to be as ruthless with Byakuya and Hitsugaya as he was with Yamamoto.

I love it! Thank you I waited so long for this moment. I like the layers north doesn't let your opponent know they're in a dead zone with no way out. He trapped his opponent so challenging him is a deadly choice. This defensive powers allow for the consumption of material will there be a new layer to his weapon transforming into a black hole power source. [Based on this material consumption it will eventually reach that plateau point of implosion resulting in total influence of all.]

Or his Bankai hadn't fully matured yet. From what we're told and shown of his original Bankai, it bares a startling resemblance to his current Shikai. So it's possible he went though a similar growth as Toshiro. His imperfect Bankai is basically just his Shikai dialed up to 11 while his matured Bankai is something different.

I always loved seeing the power of his shikai both in manga and anime but when his bankai was revealed it blew me away. He was always my favorite of the captains, I just personally loved frie user's because in almost every manga or anime They're pretty much the epitome strength.

It depends entirely on whos got the superior spiritual pressure. Either Ichigo paints Yamamoto and or Ryujin Jakka black and gives them a new name, or Yamamoto burns off the black and kills Ichibe. My money's on Ichibe simply because he's older and thus likely has greater spiritual pressure.

I found his bankai to be very fitting as the sun is a very prominent feature in japanese/eastern culture (its on their flag). The cardinal directions similarly feature in many eastern philosophies/mythologies. In addition, his bankai's sun motif is a great contrast to Hitsugaya's bankai. Sun vs moon, old vs young; a bit yin&yang if you stretch for it. However, its important to remember that the sun is meant to rise in japan, not set. If yamamoto's north technique was about bringing down the sun.... well, japan doesn't have fond memories of suns falling on their land. I suppose an literature scholar could make the arguement that yamamoto's death follows the end of the empire of the rising sun. Still, thank you for compiling all of this information into one video. Helps me remember this series and I can't wait to see it again.

When Yhwach stole Yamas banki, he should of used it against Yama and at that moment it would have been the perfect time for Yama to use kido, mayne even kido we have never seen before.

I think he did, the panel before yhwach’s sword shoots from the sky, we get a far view shot of yhwach. The same far shot we get of Yama before he says Bankai. Also the attack that kills Yama is very similar to zanki no tachi north.

Here's a theory what if his bankai is litterally the power of a sun and the real feat of strength is him containing/condensing it! Like for example if he's in it too much he gets too tired and it litterally like explodes like a sun exploding and thats why it risk destroying all of soul society

I can see you being disappointed by North, it looks too similar to East. In my opinion the North ability being a sealing ability would much better and adding more diversity to the skillset. It also provides Yamamoto a counter measure against divine being like Gerard or Lille, instead of being an all out brute.

I think that what I like the most about his Bankai is that it brings more complexity to the power of the Zanpakuto, mainly beacuse of the South ability. I mean, we've seen that his Shikai can display abilities like Ennetsu Jigoku and Jokaku Enjo, that already bring some more creative ways to deal with his main power that is the creation/manipulation of flames. But his Bankai's South ability just adds more layers of creativity to his power, to the point that it could do psychological damage to the enemy by using the dead (and we're talking about a Fire type Zanpakuto). I think that Kubo did him justice with his Bankai and really put some effort to showcase it even if it was for just some chapters.

I can't help but draw parallels between Yamamoto and Sekiro's Shura. The idea of war and flames being closely linked. Yamamoto is very much an old Samurai and being the head captain at this time, he was the pinnacle of warfare within the soul society. His Shikai is using the flames of war, but his bankai is becoming the flames of war, similarly to letting Shura, the spirit and wrath of warfare itself, take control. I can definitely see why Yamamoto doesn't like using it and why he's seen as a demon when he does, because he's letting himself be consumed by the flames of war.

Zanka no Tachi is most definitely a powerful Bankai, if not the most powerful Bankai in the series. I remember exactly where I was and what I was doing when that chapter was released. I also remember reading that chapter in awe of Yamamotos immense power. The only thing that was a little bit of a let down was the North ability. It seems the same as East. Overall though it was awesome to see and I’m glad Tite delivered. When Juha Bach stole Yamamotos Bankai I remember thinking that Juha has everything he needs to take down the royal guard and the soul king. I envisioned I battle where Ichigo would have to over come the power of Yamamotos Bankai wielded by Juha Bach. Turned out Juha was pretty much omnipotent anyway ✨🙌🏻 Awesome video!

I like that his shikai is essentially flame and anger shooting all over vs bankai being more of a condensed and focused fire and rage. I think it was spectacular and it did the commander justice. I think north felt disappointing because there's not much shown for it and we can't get the full scope of north compared to the other directions. I felt like each direction deals with a particular problem with east being overwhelming destructive close range, west being defensive shield, south being numbers and crowd control, and north dealing with range distanced fighters trying to avoid east that north is the counter for it. North looked really cool though in Bleach Brave Souls new bankai Yamamoto from last month. His special is fantastic how he goes for the slice and the letters show up one after another and Yamamoto has this calm yet unforgiving face while he swings.
