Another reason I think Yamamoto didn't use his bankai in FKT was because of the Tenkai Kecchu. If Yama's bankai simply being active alone is enough to eventually destroy Soul Society, activating it in the confined space of the Tenkai Kecchu would've definitely destroyed the four pillars thus bringing the human world into the battle.

I like to think that Zanka No Tachi "West" has transcendent level reatsu which effectively makes it invisible and when Yamamoto does want to make it visible, he just lowers his reatsu.

Yamamoto being a transcendent is clear with Ukitake calling his shikai transcendent then in bankai he had to make it possible for the others to see his flames around his body which is just his reiatsu, meaning he is on another level from Loyd Royd and Hashwalth. Really wish he could have had a proper fight against the big bad.

Aizen said that a battle between shinigami is a battle of reiatsu, right? In his battle with Yhwach, Ichigo had his bankai immediately broken, as Yhwach foresaw and feared its destructive capabilities. I don't recall if Yhwach had the power of the Almighty while he was fighting Yamamoto, but he intentionally sent Royd to wear Yamamoto out, so that Zanka no Tachi would not be used against him. Given that Yhwach feared both Ichigo and Yamamoto's bankai to the extent that he would take steps to counteract them, I believe that Ichigo's bankai is the only one that could stand a chance against Yamamoto's.

Regarding pure power, then yeah I think Yama is definitely top there. But if hax are to be considered, I think that Ichibei is his only real rival. If the two of them were to fight, I imagine that the first to land a successful blow would probably win haha.

I think Shunsui’s Katen Kyokatsu Karamatsu Shinju, Yamamoto’s Zanka No Tachi and Shinji’s Sakashima Yokoshima Happofusagari are some of the strongest in Bleach but they are also extremely tricky to use because they affect their environments indiscriminately whether you be friend or foe it will affect you that’s why none of them often used their bankais.

Another excellent video. I wish a developer team would create a bleach game that has an RPG style. You would be able to create your own class-- shinigami, Quincy, hollow, human. Each class would Grant you the ability to learn and master class specific techniques, with different versions of those techniques it's being unlocked by achieving various levels. A lot of anime games suck in my opinion, but the potential for great games is 100% there.

I loved Yamamoto's bankai and although the effect was slightly muted by the rroyd Lloyd reveal, it was still immensely impressive and a fitting send off for the character so well respected in the series by the captains and fans alike. I still hate Ichibei's bankai so I don't consider them comparable. I look forward to seeing this in the anime! It's going to be glorious!

My whole gripe about the TYBW arc is WSJ rushing Kubo to wrap up his series. He def had more to show and give. But just like Shimabukuro with Toriko, they rushed him to end so a lot of things were condensed. That's why the Yama-Jii vs Yhwach fight felt underwhelming and quick.

Aizen fan boys really downplay yama Yama is by far the second strongest character in the series , his Bankai destroys the universe merely by existing , a feat Yuha ichigo and Aizen all fighting at full power couldn’t achieve , Yuha can’t control his bankai and I would need scans of him using it for it to be true . The data book states yama as the strongest and ichibei is included in that data book Aizen got Negged by a fodder sternwritter Yama has plot seal his power twice . Yama in shikai is already stated to be transcendent .

I hope Kubo gives us something involving Ichigos bankai, and maybe even old characters that get revisited in the new hell arc. If/when he actually gets around to writing it.

I would not say that Yamamoto's bankai is the most powerful one. In brute force maybe. But there is critical point missing. If you can't use the power, it's practically useless. The most powerful bankai needs to have very few conditions so that you can use it anytime, anywhere. Same time it also needs to provide bulk power or effect. Yamamoto's bankai suffers from the issue that he can't use it or doesn't want to use it but that's essentially same thing.

Yamamoto's bankai is awesome and it's power is just radical. But as much as I love Yamaji, the title of "most powerful bankai" goes to Ichigo's Tensa Zangetsu. No one in the series has the power to straight up challenge Ichigo's bankai let alone defeat it. That thing is just too spooky.

I think your statement about Yamamoto not using bankai against Aizen is incorrect. He adapt to Aizen Kyoka Suigetsu recognite Aizen reiatsu, and say cannot be affected anymore. I think he didnt use bankai against Aizen because he was thinking he can beat him with only shikai. But in reality he was dirty by plot. That was first time and second was against Yhwach.
