1. A series that looks at thinking about beekeeping practices, agricultural economics, agricultural issues, regions, and the environment in the Hidaka region of Hokkaido, Japan. In this series, I will follow the trends of bees and beekeepers throughout the seasons to learn about the beekeeping industry. This time, I will explain the process by which two hive boards pulled from a strong colony are directly united to a smaller, weaker colony.
2. The explanation regarding uniting in this work is based on the following literature.
Hiroshi Watanabe and Takashi Watanabe, Modern Beekeeping, Japan Beekeeping Promotion Association, 1974.
