Part at 2:27 to 3:21 is just INSANE. Lot of polyrythms in it.

Absolutely superb set. Drummer fans may also want to check out Dave Lombardo playing 'Flicka' from the Modern Drummer Festival 2000, and the Mikkey Dee drum solo. Well worth it.

he uses a lot more cymbal in this then his usual drumming, but its still awesome, but so is pretty well anything he does.

the beginning kind of reminds of someone testing out the drum option on a keyboard. sweet solo though

He seemed to me relatively uncomfortable on his kit that night... The start was his feeling of the kit and how things just weren't right... He even touches his highhat around 2:30 to 2:40, an obvious sign something was amiss... He is an excellent drummer that I just stumbled upon 3 days ago. I've been playing for fifteen years and this guy has climbed my ratings book incredibly!! His kit reminds me of Lars Ulrich's of Metallica, the four-main toms, double-bass... classic set-up, really awesome!

I agree, solos isn't his thing. But with a band, he is impressive. He just released 2 new videos a few days ago, worth checking out. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/o6iFdLV-sdqzZYk.html and kzfaq.info/get/bejne/p9Zhi5yLv7m7eY0.html.

Yanic is a really tight drummer when he's playing with a band, but when i saw them at metalfest in trois-rivieres they had trouble so he made a drum solo that night and you can clearly see this guy doesn't have the groove for drum soloing... don't misunderstand me though... HE IS a fucking kickass death metal drummer but he should be leaving the soloing to guys like Peart, Mangini or Blake Richardson from Between the Buried and Me... these guys have way better understanding of how to make a solo

Great, your own cultural standard is surfacing through your linguistical expression. Metal is the law, eh?
