You should add fan cleaning to your title. That was of immense help to me and I am sure it would be to others since one of the HP 250 G5 fan replacement videos was really poor.

Thanks for showing us this. Yes, definitely clean the fan and replace the thermal paste, as any laptop will quickly become very unhappy if it is left to constantly choke on dust! Also, this looks like it only has single channel RAM. Upgrading to dual channel will help performance, e.g. upgrading from 8GB to 16GB. Even replacing a single 8GB stick with 2x 4GB sticks will help, and that gives an 8GB stick to another system that can be upgraded on the cheap.

The laptop have 2 slots, so it supports dual channel. In order to work, the 2 banks should be the same size and speed. So adding one more 8GB stick will trigger the dual channel.

Good video! Is it possible/does it make sense to upgrade the fan? My intention is to install maybe a more powerfull one which is not so loud like the origin fan. If yes, which fans would be compatible for this HP model? Thank you.

I don't recommend installing different fan. First it has to fit in the same space. Other thing is that if the fan is different the laptop may not be able to control it correctly. The manufacturer probably did some testing and decide what fan to install. If you replace it with different it may have the opposite effect. I have done that on a old laptops, that i can't find the same fan to replace it. Otherwise i always install the same ones.

can you do a cpu upgrade? for something more powerful I have the hp 250 g5 intel celeron 3955U, is there a way to put a more powerful processor

No, the CPU is soldered on the board.

The fan doesn't look stock. Usually they use Delta fans on these models which are not sealed and can be serviced

Delta is it me of the manufacturers that are making laptop fans. Depends on the batch they use different one.

hi, i have the same laptop, suddenly started to shut down without any reason, i have changed the battery but thw issue continues, and today i needed the ethernet port and saw that it is not working and is not recognized by the OS (linux) any ideas what to check for, i have very little electronics experience, thanks in advance

Pls can the motherboard of HP - 15 ac-250g5 power HP 15 ac-121dx since they have the same body structure

The boards are different. One is LA-C701P and the other one is LA-D703P. Both look the same and the connectors are on the same place... so in theory it should be possible.

after replacing the fan, my laptop does not work anymore. Everything looks fine apart from the alimentation cable, which is partly uncovered, but I dont believe it is the problem, because the alimentation light still turns on. Asfar as you know is there any safety block or has something had a short? Thanks very much

What is alimentation cable. Do you have a fan spin when you press the power button or not. Try to reconnected the memory. No safety switch.

@@LaptopDisassembly i mean the cable from the mainboard to the dc Jack. No noise at all therefore i am afraid of a short

@@pacobajito85 I doubt it's a short. You did disconnect the battery before removing the cooler. Check all the cables, including the power button one.
