Since the first time I heard Yanni's music, his piano spoke to my heart. I've never learned the words; but know all the songs by heart. My heart listens and my soul rejoices. Never before has a song spoke to me in such a simple and pure voice. I have evolved, as has his music. I love that he not only creates; but, recreates his old numbers. Songs as familiar now to me as my own heart. Only one other, a singer, has spoken to my heart in this way, Enya. First Yanni, then Enya a few years later. From two different spheres comes a single heart rejoicing in the world. When it comes to choosing, I am like a listless lover, loving the one I am with. With my heart Yanni, the Yang, and Enya the Yin of my spirit. Both heal, both lift the spirit and heart. I look forward to these live performances; and hope one day Yanni will show up, if only to say hello, and let us know he hears us. I hope one day to be able to obtain a piano score of his music that I might play his songs, and lift the hearts of those around me. Though my little early 1800's piano will never sound so sweet as his, in spite of my attempts to tune it's voice to the soul of the instrument. For it's age, it is a great instrument for a poor soul who only desires to inspire.
