Subhan Allah! “Islam is not the medicine for this Dunya” is such a powerful sentence that deeply needs to be pondered on. I always ask Allah for ease in Dunya things rather than being thankful for the difficulties that may make me closer to Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala. I hope I understood that in the right meaning. This entire lecture deserves going back and listening again and again. How we take so much for granted. Subha Allah!

I understood it as the following. We tend to use doua to improve mostly our dunya. Like we seek specific douas for specific situations for example. Like let's use Islamic knowledge to have a better life here. That's what I got from it and Allah knows best!

That’s the thing. I make dua sometimes that even though remembering my past sins is PAINFUL, trust, forgetting it completely would make me complacent, and be so confident in myself today. I feel like remembering my sins keep me humble and appreciative of Allah’s mercy.

31:35 - unfortunately it seems like certain parts of our community are reviving idol worship. It just looks different these days to what it looked like amongst the Quraysh. So someone has to do something to stop those kind of people, otherwise our pure Islam would be like none believers religion. Because churches give them the freedom to do whatever, just to keep them in the church. Because I have been told if someone colors her nails to freshen wadu nails have to be clean of the color. Otherwise the wadu is not completed. But I know someone who said so and so shaikh said if she had wadu before she colored her nails. Her wadu would be good even after. ???
