To those who are surprised that he said no: Remember that they're both young. He lost a friend before due to a similar situation, and that loss hurt him. He doesn't want to lose another friend, one that clearly he values, to the same fate. He did not disrespect her. Rather, he spoke of his friendship with her as being very important to him, so he honored her as such. If she truly is his friend, she'll respect that and remain his friend. Who knows what the future held for these two? They might well have become romantic down the road sometime, for all we know. If you still wonder, then reverse the sexes and then see if you think the same way as you did after watching this video.

He is hesitant as his past has traumatized him. He has not recovered and it seems he will take a long time to as he mentioned (when asked) he is guessing its a guy at the other side of the curtain who may have come to reconcile. He treasures friendship more than a stable intimate relationship at this moment. He seems to talk all the time about past hurtful relationships and how he treasures sincere relationship now. Hopes he recovers soon. That beautiful girl just have to be patient and wait...or leave him if he cant recover and gather his pride and broken confidence soon. A man too sensitive in nature is trouble as he will always be skeptical and non commitle.

As sexist as it is -- and, of course, there are always exceptions -- Generally, a man's drive is stronger than a woman's. So, if a man does not pursue a woman over a significant period of time, usually one can assume he is not romantically interested in her. If a woman is determined to make her feelings known to him nonetheless, I think it's best for both parties to do so privately. She is beyond exquisite, with an equally exquisite heart, and hopefully she has met her worthy counterpart! I would find it very hard to believe that she has not! What beauty!
