This is why every guy should tell his wife roughly what his tools are worth. Heck of a deal!
@lakes2land780

Chili Solutions I agree fully. Apparently, one of his good friends came in and took an abundance of the tools. I just hope he did the right thing by her. This looks like to be more of the odds and end pieces. Some incomplete sets, and some extra ratchets he had. I believe she said he was a machinist, so there were a lot of high-grade calipers, taps and die sets left behind. I told her to hold onto them, check Ebay for prices before she sells them for too low of a price.

Very true, when I'm gone I want my wife to get the best price for the thousands of pounds of tools I have, I told her to take her time and sell a peace a time for the best price but fare for her and the buyer! My hope is who ever gets my tools looks after them and uses them. Respect to the person that had them before I had them I say!

These tools are in great shape for the most part. I love listening to the banter between you and your very bright son. This is definitely a good haul. And just FYI, In 2010, Armstrong, as part of Danaher Tool Group, became part of Apex Tool Group, LLC. In 2017, Apex announced that it would lay off 170 workers at its Sumter, South Carolina plant and cease production of the Armstrong and Allen brands by March 31. So, these quality tools were a real deal.

The bits at 4:10 look like machinist stuff. Countersinks, end mills and such. That trucker tire gauge is pretty old. Most truck gauges go way up, like 160 psi That Channellock chuck is for taps, it's a tap holder.

@@lakes2land780 I suppose if you belong to a church group or some other kind of charitable organization then maybe that will help, personally I gave my old (but still good) tools to a friends son who was crazy about cars and motorcycles, he had his first car and didn't have many tools to fix it with. I also put him onto how to find cheap tools at flea markets and the like. People watching YT sometimes get a warped view on things. A wrench doesn't stop being a wrench just because it's old and no longer shiny new 😉

Just had to stop the video and scroll the comments a bit and see if anyone knows what that little light bulb testing unit is. It is missing a tip/probe to it and or could have an aligator clip with threaded end as well and a battery inside. It is a "continuity tester" to test a circuit to see if it is an open circuit and or a shorted circuit. There were even some with a little buzzer in them.
