What you need is an old Ransomes Certes (Geens) push cylinder (Reel) mower with ten blades, I have a couple and my lawn gets cut every day in the summer.

Omg. I did a rear roller mod on my mclane a little while ago. It finally put decent stripes in my yard. 10/10 recommend. Also I converted the mclane to electric with an old 40v ryobi mower that was “broken”. Literally just mounted the motor horizontally instead of vertically while still maintaining original controls levers and belts. She’s not pretty yet

Oh yeah, bent grass might be your jam, needs to be constantly mowed short and looked after. Germinates pretty quick too with these warm temps. Germination to stripes in about a couple weeks.

I use an atco 10 blade from UK that I purchased for $100 to maintain the greens now 😂… expensive mowers are def just a luxury 😊🤙🏾

I wish that Toro would add a Sportsman model into their 60v lineup. Their Sportsman models were produced from the 1950s through the 1960s that I know of and were domestically focused reel mowers as opposed to the fairway focused and priced Greensmasters commercial golf courses machines. I think that we’re overdue for a cordless-electric Sportsman developed and priced for suburbanites.

I think companies are just trying to find suppliers they can afford to start mass production on electric epic mowers… word on the street is only a couple left in the game and most of these mowers coming out are made by the same company just collaborative naming … can’t wait to see a decent electric anything reel mower at a great price 😊👊🏾🤙🏾🙏🏾

TIP; I have at PRG and KBG, I mow at 2.5". Mow then water for approx. 1 minute, then stripe. Stripes will burn your eyes! 😂

😂😂😂👊🏾 so grooved helps comb up the grass for a more even cut also kinda digs onto the soil a bit to help with thatch .. smooth is pretty much just to help prevent scalping and lays down better stripes! I don’t use the self propel on the older models I keep the rear wheel up cause it can dig and really drag you around 😂😂😂😂 if I had a bigger lawn I would use it but I’m good leaving it up 😊🙏🏾🤙🏾👊🏾

You just have to hit up Craigslist, marketplace and OfferUp…. I’ve noticed in the last 4 years vintage mowers are getting a lot more rusty bit there are some gems it took me 3 years of searching to find a decent survivor ☺️🤙🏾
