Yarder Moving Logs Down A Mountain! | Off The Grid! | FS22

In this episode of the Farming Simulator 22 Off The Grid Series we are using a yarder to move logs down the mountain. The yarder works with cables which allows us to move logs down the mountain quickly and safely.
In this Farming Simulator 22 series, we are living off the grid. We have a minimal amount of money, our property is not really suited for farming and we have a few pieces of old equipment at our disposal. Our goal is simply to improve our lifestyle and our property using the least amount of money possible.
The Off The Grid series will be much slower paced compared to what I usually do. My goal is really just to have fun doing something a little bit different than usual. A very light storyline may appear during the course of this series as that is simply my style of play but it is by no means meant to be a roleplay.

Here's a tip on how to get the yarder to run all the way. Reverse your setup, with the machine at the drop point. You can press R to bring the carriage to you, press R again to stop it, then press X and it will return to the machine on it's own. Also the help overlay that shows keybinds has a GUI that shows where the carriage is along the rope as well as whether it is loaded or not.

SAFETY VIOLATION! Just running 3 ton of timbers down the mountainside, then just dropping on the ground at an unmanned station. Almost like you own the place and there's not a soul around 🤣🤣 Looks like your buddy hooked you up pretty good with the tree feller & yarder, but you could pull 4 logs to the yarder at one time with a winch plate. To purchase they cost anywhere between $7,000 - $22,000. (No difference between them AFAIK) but it's your show my friend. Also, it's customary to put the chokers on the end of the log, but you're getting them down there, so don't let me bother ya 🤣 Another great show in the books!

I was cracking up on the first set you sent. Do you think it would work out better to send full trees then cut them to length at the bottom? I know the head on the forestry machines rotate so you can pick the trees up off the ground easily.

You could always have a friend that plays the game to help in your videos and can you make your videos little bit longer 25 minutes at least

Hey Debbie, I would love to do that but I don't know anyone that actually plays FS. I would love to do a collaboration series with one of the other KZfaqrs some day though. I do want to start making my videos a bit longer as many have asked for that so that will be happening soon. 😀👍
