Okay, the ziploc baggie thing is a great idea. Especially considering we're the most butterfinger-cursed people who ever walked the planet. I'm doing this when we set ours up over the next couple weeks. Thank you!

Good luck buddy. Hope yours turns out good, these were just a few helpers before starting the project👍

Four days eight hours each day??? Me and another guy did ours in a day and a half.....
@paulray94023 жыл бұрын
I was working by myself and broke it into 4 phases. You can do it in one day, just cut out your sleep....lol...but my method worked just fine.

Paul Ray wow! I don’t know how you did that by yourself. Great job!

Thanks! My paver patio has a slight grade built into it for water run off, how do you recommend I level in that case since my foundations is already purposely not level?

I faced the same problem and ended up using a piece of HDPE plastic cutting board. I found the tip on another post from a deck builder. It will not rot or compress and it did the trick. Just cut them to size. You might need to stack a couple of them to get the right height

Jonathan Jones how did that work for you?
@skaarlet14493 жыл бұрын
@@ebenclaw I wonder would it be noticeable under the posts and how it would affect anchoring the structure later down the road. Eventually ours will be anchored, just not sure when. Our grade is so slight that water only barely runs, even if it's a really heavy downpour. Thank you for the suggestion, I've noted it in our "things to do" list.

My paver patio has a 6" slope across the diagonal. (I guess I was too agressive with the water runoff issue.) What can be done is to cutt the BOTTOM of the beams carefully with a circular saw (after the exact offset is measured and drill new holes at the base of the post. Yardistry says the will only remove the altered beam from the warranty.. I am 75 and 75% done with the beams and roof panels by myself (10 hours).

Paul, any info to share on the cap trim and the weather strip? Currently installing the same Gazebo, but 12X12.
@paulray94025 жыл бұрын
The weather trim was fairly simple and the cap trim we just rubbed a finger very carefully due to sharp edge with dish soap along inside edges and it slid on easier. Remember, you will need a C clamp when you bring your triangle roofing pieces together to clamp where it will be easier to screw your bolt and nut together. Hope this helps!

It doesn’t look like you anchored it. Have you had any problems with wind?
@paulray94023 жыл бұрын
No, it's not anchored. It's heavy enough here in California.

Does a slope of concrete affect anything? We know all the concrete should be sloped for drainage.
@paulray94023 жыл бұрын
We had a very slight slope for drainage so when configuring the post and beam sections together for the base we used a level to two sides of each post to ensure the base was formed straight. Hope that helps from my experience.

Shim the vertical uprights on two adjacent sides to take out the pitch in the concrete so structure is both square and vertical.. Correct? Or am I missing something ?

@@paulray9402 Thank you, it does. I've been worrying about this since someone mentioned everything having to be 100% flush and level all the way around. I'm going to have the husband pick up a 10' 2x4 before we do the roof panels, that way my sons, who will be helping but aren't steady on ladders, can hold the roof for my husband with their feet firmly on the ground.
