Criticism based on facts is good but to say sack the manager and get a new one is plain and simple a step backwards. No way the new manager comes in and straight away wins the league over Pep. It's more likely, he will need time to adapt and get his players and even then it's not guaranteed.

Why did Arsenal fans choose to support this club if trophies weren't an important metric? If you are a Liverpool, united, and Arsenal you joined this club because of their standing in the world based on their trophies accumulated. What is the point of fighting for 2nd each year, that is not how our trophy reputation will continue to be filled in fact our fans are apathetic and accept of City adding more value to the league than we currently are. When we advocate for trophies, people like Yardman are shouted down as if trophies do not matter. What is the point if our fans never fight and advocate for winning anything, what is the point of supporting Arsenal if the end goal isn't a trophy? The way that arsenal supporters act, we will and should never win a single trophy again other than the odd community shield. At that point what makes supporting arsenal different than supporting fulham or Wolverhampton, two clubs who arent expected to win. Arsenal are expected to win as we are in the top 3 English historical clubs, it is about time our fans treat us as such.

There's not a universal reason why everyone falls in love with a club. I started following this club when they were in their downfall fifteen years ago. What makes anyone a more authentic fan than me or other Gooners, and who's doling out licenses for this? Now, an idiot would read this as me settling for mediocrity. I'm definitely not! Please put tough questions, ask about our transfer outlay, what are we going to do to challenge the financial dopers who are yet to be convicted and most likely will never be, but don't call for a managerial change at this point. Klopp got four full seasons to win the league, are we saying four full seasons is the upper limit? In his third full season he went a point close, we went 2 points close in Arteta's fourth full season just now. See the full picture before being trigger happy.

Even though I wouldn't call for sacking Arteta, I see what yardman is saying. Let's be honest with ourselves. In those crucial losses, how many times have we sat here scratched our heads asking why Arteta did or didn't do the obvious? Regardless of City goodness, Arteta could've won the league last season or this season or both of the past seasons. The difference between Pep and Arteta, besides the money, is Arteta's naivety and Peps years of experience. Regardless of the disappointment of not lifting the trophy, I'm proud of the team and how far they have come. Arteta and Edu need to work hard this summer on strengthening our attack line. We need a goal scoring striker at all cost along with a winger that has goals to their name. If it’s possible get a proper Partey replacement. If that is not possible keep Partey.

As a City fan Yardman is right Look at City. Right Mancini came for stability, Pellegrini came for progress and Pep came to finish what they have started. Mancini and Pellegrini won the league but got sacked not because they were bad but because the were there for the foundation to allow Pep to do what is doing now. Arteta has proven two seasons in the row that he is there for the progress not winning the league. City fans criticised the club for sacking both Managers but the club knew were they were going. @@arun29618Arsenal competed against CL winning treble city last season and 4peat city this season - this is peak city. Those city teams didn’t have KDB out for half a season or a Haaland up top. The quality of opposition was poorer those seasons hence the higher points totals for Liverpool and City - a prime example being Arsenal who they both used to take 6 points from. Without those points alone your back in the low 90s/high 80s.

I hear both arguments. I personally think arteta should be allowed to build on this season and go for the title next season. However, yardman is absolutely spot on in saying that the title was in our hands and we didn't do what it takes to win it. We did bottle the title, we didn't do what was necessary. City did what was necessary and they won it. We never lost to city , or to any so called "big 6 team". We messed up at Aston villa in a must win game at home. This is a fact. That doesn't mean we didn't have a good season or that we haven't improved. We have. But another fact is we are trophyless once more. Both things can be true.

We did a brilliant job closing out all those games in the run in. Yes arteta got the tactics wrong against villa but that was the only time this year. To the question of which manager should replace Arteta, the onus is on Yardman to provide that answer based on his argument. After Yardman replied there are loads of suitable replacements, Robbie has no reason to keep playing that game with Yardman. Yardman gave up his chance to answer the question of which manager should we hire. Clearly he knows that he has no answer to the question.

Yardie is right like the Villa game. We were top with 6 games left in our own hands and then we drop points cus Arteta decided to go Havertz MF, GJ up top and Zinny LB. He sees his mistake then goes back to dropping city rejects and we win ALL 5 GAMES AFTER. SO WHY CHANGE FOR 1 GAME… proof Arteta knew he messed up!!

So beating Fulham at home was too much to ask!? Beating Villa at home was too much to ask? What about the cups? Robbie says Arteta is doing amazing things, so what is Alonzo doing at Leverkusen, Ancelotti at Madrid (who was available in 2019) or Inzaghi doing? Klopp had a worse squad and less money yet he’s done better. Robbie is full of it.

hopefully also City run into a storm of appointing managers like Barca, Bayern then we should get a chance. Those teams have won their titles when their main rivals are having a crisis within. We happen to compete with a team that is perfectly solid and without any management issues for a while, and we have of recent just managed to stabilize things in our own turf. Otherwise if City had troubles within we would've lifted that trophy

So Ancelotti was going to win the league with Lacazette and a declining Aubameyang and all that deadweight Arsenal had? He would also have needed time and would have left before then. And you do realise that Inzaghi is managing the Italian champions that were CL finalists last year. What makes you think he would so easily leave that for Arsenal? Inter are a massive club as well. Give me a viable managerial alternative to Arteta and I will personally drive him to the airport.

Look, based on our trajectory over the last few seasons, especially this season, I still believe Arteta is capable of getting us over the line, so I will give him until next season. Pep City weren’t a great team this season, arsenal were top for the majority of the season and still couldn’t win the title. You can make excuses all you want, but the stats are all to see.
