I can't deny that after all of the hype and the over-enthusiastic reviews, the expectations were high and I was skeptical the car could fulfill them. But damn, It drives fantastic. I've been able to compare the GR with all of the recent EVOs (VII, VIII, IX), including a soft-tuned IX and I have to admit that in those conditions the little toyota is faster, more efficient, and for me most important, funnier to drive. Probably on a regualer track a tuned EVO is faster than the Yaris, but I think it'd still be more enjoyable to drive. The three drive modes are fairly different from each other and in "sport" (most of the torque on the rear) it drives almost like a RWD, which isn't the most efficient mode on ice but surely the one who left the biggest smile on my face. This video was made in track mode (50:50) and as you can see it can be driven fast and it doesn't need excessive weight transfer nor force the pendulums to make i turn around tight corners. @@mrjarjar1018 Yeah I saw a video and some pictures. It looks like an even sharper weapon, but I have to say that the standard GR is barely usable as daily as it is. Something stiffer and more nervous could be exhausting to use for commuting but exhilarating as a track-toy. Cheers 🍻
