Yasha's Letter | A Beauregard Lionett Case Study | Critical Role

I know a lot of other people have already done videos like this, but I wanted to throw my hat in the ring too. Honestly, everyone else's videos are better than this one, but I've put too much time into this to never publish it, so here it is!
My intention behind this was to highlight all of the moments behind the observations that Yasha wrote in her letter, and I wanted to include a lot of examples for each line. Because of this, the video is kind of less a dramatic, poignant look at Beauyasha, and more an in depth look at Beau (and at times, Yasha) as a character. And then because it took so long for me to finish, I ended up including the scene from 120 where Beau tells Yasha that she read the letter.
What I'm trying to say is, this video's kind of a mess and it didn't turn out the way I wanted, but I hope some of you out there can get some kind of enjoyment out of it!

Ashley/Yasha summed up three IRL years (one whole year in-game) of yearning and respectful looking with just one letter. And that letter was enough to truly move Beau's fragile heart to the point where, yes, this is real. Yes, she's not imagining it. Yes, she's into her. I felt that the examples you cited were just *chef's kiss* and on point. Capping it off with Beau finally telling Yasha she read it, and admitting that she wants a fresh start, no need to be hesitant about how they feel... Giving Beau that letter, and willingly moving on from Zuala, was the bravest thing Yasha Nydoorin had ever done. Accepting that even she can be loved and that Yasha wants something with her? The bravest thing Beauregard Lionett had ever done. *Here's to second beginnings... for second loves.*

This might be a stretch, but in Ashley's Between the Sheets video she talks about how she gave Brian her email instead of her phone number because it was easier to communicate by typing. This is eerily similar to the sentiments Yasha expressed in her letter to Beau. Edit: Well given recent events this comment just makes me sad now.

Also reminds me of one of the Talks where Ashley was talking about how Yasha enjoys doing things she can do alone and she suddenly stopped and said something like "Well now I just sound like I'm talking about myself.." Brennan Lee Mulligan described character creation for long form role playing as the Player being the Light behind a Stained Glass Window. No matter how you arrange the glass of the window to make something new and different the same light always shines through it so all you're really doing is seeing different aspects of yourself in these different characters.

this is the kind of journey i want to see more in sapphic stories. heartbreak handled w maturity which turned to mutual understanding, even *I* felt like I went thru an entire character arc w how i felt about this relationship. so happy for them. they deserve it 😭

With episodes so spread out sometimes it's hard to really appreciate the characters and how they've developed and grown through the show. This compliation, very literally, is a real love letter to Beau and what a great character she is. It reminds me how much I appreciate her, and it really shows the truth behind Yasha's letter. It makes my heart swell. : )

I would love a compilation of all the times Beau asked someone some variation of, "Are you okay?" Because she was almost always the first or only person to check in on everyone. It's what really made me fall in love with her character. This self-proclaimed asshole giving everyone shit, but always being the first to worry about people.

It makes me smile so wide to just watch Yasha watch and fall so amazingly in love with Beau, especially since I was never quite focused enough on the two together. It makes me feel warm inside, it's fantastic

it's just stock music. it's called "lost frontier" by kevin macleod, but you may have heard it used in something else before as well!
