May Allah grant us forgiveness and guidance

1. Whatever you do should be with the intention to please Allah (swt). Purify internally before you purify externally. 2. Discover your talents and master it. Use your talents to improve mankind. 3. Aim high and be ambitious. Put your trust in Allah (swt) he will bring it to you. 4. Once you have a vision, don’t waste your time. Get involved, and keep trying. Your legacy is proportionally linked to your efforts. Whenever you see an opportunity to do good, take it. 5. You will never have a legacy until you have faced defeat many times. Be patient at the bitterness of defeat to taste the sweetness of victory. Legacies are not built in a day. 6. People will remember how you have touched their hearts. Be compassionate, kind, and generous. Think about how you can move somebodies emotions. 7. Nothing happens without Allah’s (swt) will. Your goal is Allah (swt) and not the people. Make dua to be role models, not for the sake of our egos, but because it is a sign that Allah (swt) has accepted your deeds. Alhumdulillah a beautiful khutbah. Just wanted to write some notes I took. May Allah let you all leave behind a beautiful legacy.

Is it only North Africa that is Maliki? Isn’t West Africa also Maliki? Why is it when Islam is mentioned in Africa, North Africa is always referenced? There are Countries in Africa such as Mail, Senegal, etc that are predominantly Muslim as well but are failed in being recognized. Islam in Africa is widespread and not limited to North Africa as many think.
