Sarah Montague speaks to Yazidi rights activist Nadia Murad. When extremists from the so-called Islamic State entered Nadia's village, they killed all the men: six of her brothers were murdered. She and hundreds of other Yazidi women were taken captive and, in the months that followed, they were passed from one group of men to another and gang-raped.
She managed to escape, but it is thought that thousands of women are still being held captive. Nadia Murad was in London to highlight their plight.

I just finished reading Nadia's book "The Last Girl." It's quite a story. It's hard to imagine what these girls have suffered and there are thousands of them.

I was truly dismayed when i saw the number of views on this video. Nadia Murad is no ordinary human being. She is BRAVE beyond anyone can ever think of her to me. If anyone would have read her novel, they will know what i am talking about. Nadia Murad deserves all the praise and accolades but, alas thats not what she really wants. She wants the right for her community to live peacefully. Is that too much to ask for? She has faced devastating adversities and yet such a large population remains ignorant about the plight of her community. She deserves international recognition. She needs to be put at the same pedestal as Malala Yousafzai. And its high time that the so called World Leaders move beyond their disgusting crude oil politics and ensure that common humans live peacefully.

This interview clearly portraits about a valiant women who fights for her existence and it gives me a kind of confidence and it's clearly an eye-opener for who oppress women and having a misconception about women, they can override her at any time
