for me, i don't mind if they mix malay and english lyrics together because mostly, we (malaysian) also speak and mix both language in our daily conversation. we called it manglish (malay+english) 😂 as long as it's not awkward to be heard, then it is totally okay!

For me I like it. Apart from it is actually how we speak, or at least how I speak with my friends and my kids, we mixed malay and english and local dialects with english. No issues for me. And another thing is, it will be a lot easier for people from other countries to try to at least grasp the meaning of the song because of the mixture in the language. Thanks for the reaction yazik! In Malaysia, because English is our 2nd language and being teach from as early as kindergarten till higher education, it's just normal for Malaysian using both languages Malay and English in our daily conversation, just like this song.

About the mix thing... There is no weird about it... Because I think half of the world mix their language like Korea + English, India + English, Japan + English etc... They mix it with their own dialect... So not only in Malaysia...

Mix malay and english is not a problem for us malaysian. In asian, malaysia is almost on par with singapore and philiphine for their fluency in english.

Agree with nufa's comments below - Malaysians generally speak Malay mixed with English. They also mix in Chinese and Indian, plus whatever other words help make the sentence sound better. It's the same way with our food - we mix in all sorts of cuisine on the same plate and then stir it all up! Dolla is like a microcosm of Malaysian culture - their members are representative of the cultural and racial mix but they are also diverse in build and backgrounds yet support and complement each other well. Just love that about our Malaysian culture.

Since BAD is a pop song, so it's okay to mix languages. We Malaysians do mixing more than 2 languages in one sentence in our daily conversation😂. But, if the song is Malay Ethnic genre, then it must be 100% in Malay.

The villain in the mv actually is a keyboard warriors cum haters..they putting harsh & hard words through their fingers via keyboard to spread hate & to ruin DOLLA..but DOLLA girls brave enough to fight back (definitely not through weapon as in the mv) & shows that they're strong enough to make their dreams come true via their talents & hard works.
