Her speaking voice here was already tired after her 1st night concert. I was blown away when I watched this on tv because I thought she could not hit the climax due to vocal fatigue. This is one of the reasons why I am a huge fan.

What a great way to start your legendary reactions, Yazik. 🙂 I was at both nights of this concert. It was in October 2006, so she was 36 years old here. Regine sounds way better live. Imagine the level of goosebumps you’d get! Haha. Her belts on the first night of this same song were incredibly higher, but I prefer this 2nd night’s version overall, not to mention she was under the weather. Legendary indeed. 👏🏻👏🏻

I have personally seen the live performance. This was a two-day concert. This recording seems to be the 2nd day. She was tired but ofc she is the queen and can still pull it off. ❤️

Its was like 10 yrs ago but the most shocking thing in that concert was Regine's voice was not in the good shape because of she was tired preparing for that concert. Still, she chose to continue the performance hence her situation. No one can do it better than Regine, and the passion. Truly she is the Queen 👑

A trivia, did you know that during this time she is sick and she is sitting down and belting like she did not make it happen? After this concert she was rushed to hospital because of overfatigue. She is such a professional, that she doesn't care to what she feels and yet she still slay her performance out of nowhere and it is incredibly an alien ability.

I've watched a bunch of reactions about this performance. Most of them did a great reviews, some are just okay and few became my favorite reactions. But now, this is my TOP favorite reaction and this is also my first time to leave a comment about this 😁. For me, this is the best anatomy of this legendary performance of Regine Velasquez. I learned new things about singing that I didn't hear from the others. Yazik never fails to provide very informative reviews about singing skills, styles and techniques. This particular performance is from the last of the 2 consecutive night concert of Regine called Twenty. She already asked for apology at the earlier part of the concert because her voice was not in excellent condition. She said that she really gave her best/maximum performance😁 during the first night. We can feel and hear the hoarseness of her voice everytime she is talking and most notably, when she sing, "Shine" at the earliest part. But Regine is a true warrior. As the show continues, her voice was recovered and gave us nothing but goosebumps song after song. Until she showed us this jaw-dropping performance and left us in awe. This performance on the second night is really one for the books and the best live performance of the song of all time. ( There's also a short clip of her singing this song during the first night. For as far I know, this was performed at the 2nd day of her 20th anniversary concert and during that time her voice was not really in condition. But look at her, THE Regine Velasquez, singing extreme high notes while sitting like as if she’s just yawning. Hands down to you, Queen. 👑❤️
