Bro i used to play this game almost 4 years ago on jan 2020, almost a month after its initial release, and yeah, i did complain during 2021, on how the mailman disapeared on how the music changed, and on how some things had been gone from yba,but it was regardless, still really fun. The problem is now literally after the stone free update, my motivation to play reduced considerably, yba went from a game i played 4 hours a day, to a game i played regularly, and finally to a game i play only when a new update drops, before ultimately not playing it until another update again. Dont get me wrong, its a good game and all right now, but it just isnt the same. Im grateful to the devs for making the covid era a huge blast for me. But the yba i knew is gone, and most probably wont ever come back...

Having less combat moves really help players learn to be more creative with what they do with what they have and adapt to different enemy playstyles. A good example would be king crimson

One of the worst things is that every stand and spec just now feels the same. An awakening, a long range move, a beatdown, a mini beatdown and some random attacks. The stand reworks just feel like stone ocean but changed up a little.

I feel like Paragon goes out of his way to hire the most obnoxious and power hungry 13 year olds he can find. I got permanently muted from the server because I asked a trade question in general once (still muted to this day). I was quite annoyed, and went into the mods dm's and told him that that's not a fair reason to permanently mute someone. He responded with emoji's and stickers, and completely ignored any of my comments. I went from playing the game regularly and considering it my all time favourite roblox game, to occasionally touching it to see what's going on. I've even noticed that the general community has gotten worse, but that is probably due to OG players leaving. I remember participating in gang wars on the original map and having such a great time playing. It's a shame to see how much worse this game has gotten.

2020 YBA was so fun. I used to play SBR a lot with friends, the only issue back then was the awful staff. I remember bossraiding a mod's gang and wiping most of them just to get kicked out of the game right before I killed the owner

When i discovered YBA, it was the best game i have ever touched. It has the ideal combat system as well as grinding system, you had to grind to get the stand you want. I miss the old days when TWOH and MIH used to be the most funniest stands i have seen, people would just one shot before the nerfs. SCR being better than TWOH, TWHV which was so overpowered because of its moves. Knives being one of the best move in the game. But suddenly YBA stopped updating and canceled most of its stands and when people kept saying "When update uzu?" "Uzu update the game". It was still fun when there was a halt in the updating. Then the Stone Free update, the specs reworks, trading system came and the new map. YBA had lost its touch now.

this is why I took a step away from YBA.. Everything here perfectly sums up all the problems I've been having with both the game and the community surrounding it (especially paragon)

Uzu said that this was the redemption arc, but this ended up being just another episode of the decline arc, old problematic bugs are still not fixed yet (with new ones appearing and even patched ones being active again), new gen of players, skin traders, and some people that are TRYING to have some fun SOMEHOW in the game are not making it feel alive, the development team having a big lousy reputation (that's still becoming worse in these days) with Paragon being the most hated of them and the uncontrollable desire of the developers to focus more on esthetic than gameplay went from add TOO MANY SKINS to add flashy vfx and smooth animations to the stands and specs and give them remodels instead of focusing on TRYING to balance them before the chaos (and the boredom) gets released. And the worst of all, If things keep going like this then we unfortunately don't have enough with flashy messed-up new stands and flashy messed-up reworked old stands and specs... Because in the new update, we could even get... FLASHY... MESSED-UP... REWORKED... GAME MODES (sbr and 1v1s ranked) God, I even said these while I'm a STONE FREE main user in the game, and I even have the plan to play with reworked sticky fingers and reworked sbr IF the update gets released, I don't expect anything (not even sbr), and If that happens, I'm feeding for the last time Uzu's thinking of "less effort content = more attention and money"

I agree, I used to play yba on it's peak and I tried to play it again recently, it's absolutely horrible I used to abuse this so called "paragon luck" and honestly, I hope Uzu would change the staff/admins and get better ones. I really miss the old YBA

Even in the yba competitive scene everyone has left(in EU at least) and its truly sad to see all good players and fun people quit because the game has no hope and the devs dont like us competitive gamers

A big grievance I have with the game now as someone(coincidentally who also has a Kirby pfp) pointed out in the comments is that movesets are getting way too complicated. Stands and specs are being given such an obscene amount of moves that it makes balancing all of them on your keyboard an absolute nightmare. Has ANYONE on the development team ever heard the saying "less is more?" Feels like they don't even want us around anymore.

Yba used to be the pinnacle of a skill check on this platform, aside from a few stands or moves being minor blemishes, you were given the tools to defend from nearly ANY attack. It has the perfect defense system and that stacked with m1s not being used to combo, allow for major comebacks or complete and total washes in a fight to even taking on 4 people at once (like i used to, my friend always caused a commotion and needed help, itd be us vs the world lol) my point is. The combat near the middle was literally perfectly skill based. And now they neglect some features like moves having appropriate start ups rhat are reactable, to perfect blocks as a thing being almost ignored, and so many moves go through block, and specs having counters.....??? And even more that ruins it. With skins, i never indulged in trading, i just found it to be a fun little extra thing to hunt for and now i have several nice skins that change nothing. Its just a little extra time sink, but if possible more content should be prioritised. Also I main The World Also the balancing of being able to visually see and audibly hear when to defend yourself from certain moves was a huge part of the balance that they forgot. Which they murdered all hopes of with how flashy the new moves are and even as an example, how there's no sound cue to tell the difference between crazy diamond between you're in my range and it's beatdown, there's not even a different animation, you just have to guess if you can block it if it's you're in my range, or if you'll have to pb if it's the beatdown

After AUT up and vanished for like a year I started playing YBA. Bro the Naples Train station theme (Next To You) still plays in my head, and brings back some great memories of me grinding the story mode so that I could Level up and do the Heaven Quests and SBR 😢

I miss when pluck could make literally any and every stand meta, it was the most independent and unique spec out of them all, it gave even ta1 a way to do consistent damage, and 2 seperate ways to deal with barrages, and if a stand had pilot you could use crescent slash and launch them into your stand And there was a bunch of other cool shit you could do with what was quite literally the only combo spec in the game

Damn, I remember playing with my friend YBA at it's peak all days, duo wiping in sbr, experimenting with diffrent stands for fun, fighting against eachother in the main game, and fighting together in the arena. I'm kind of sad what state this game is right now, but also sort of glad I stopped playing roblox just before the stone free update, but I truly hope that things get better, so I'll maybe come back even if for a while because this game's combat system was absolutely amazing and one of my favourites to this day.

I don’t think yba has ever truly been “good” but the combat was very solid for the most part and a lot of the stands and specs were really neat and fun, but after the update drought pre-stone free and the absolute embarrassment post stone free the game got totally shot, it’s sad to see for sure.

Seeing the game fall like this is just depressing ngl. I first found out about it when it was still in development and i waited every day and played on release. I got to see the game evolve slowly and then just nosedive devolve into what it is now.

Ill be honest, YBA was at its peak before the heaven update , whenit had 8k players and there actuallyt used to be gangs in SBR, back when we hella farmed for stands with no shinies, where PVP was (sometimes) really enjoyable alone and with friends. Good memories

I remember playing this game after my friend told me to play back in February 2020,it was my favourite game and we played for hours together. When skins released,we didn’t mind at first but we soon started Collecting them. At around early 2022, I realised that this game was rotting my brain away for different coloured stands so I quit.It’s sad to see the state of the game but it will always be a good memory playing with my friends.😞

they nerfed liver shot and by doing so they literally took away the only combo tool boxing had, they want people to use pluck and spam as much as the possibly can

Only if uzu can add a seperate game called "yba legacy" which is literally og yba but with some effect fixes (optional in settings) and vfx fixes and some slight balance changes

The other thing that made me quit YBA was the massive amounts of new key binds, like I literally can't play with anything other than boxing and a non reworked stand, because if I try out any new stand or rework with vamp it seems like I'm literally playing a piano on my freaking keyboard because of the amounts of moves the new specs and stands have... sometimes I'll just straight up forget that some moves existed or just focus way harder on my cds than the actual battle... I'ts frustrating for old YBA players man...

I started playing literally the month the game dropped in febuary 2019 (if im remembering correctly). I still remember the days of me telling everybody 'i can't wait for TWOH because they GOTTA give it the road roller move since normal TW doesn't have it' and everybody telling me i was stupid and that TWOH would never come and lo and behold in 2020, the heaven update dropped. I hard mained TW since day 1, didn't care about GER or KCR (still remember when GER was genuinely terrible on release lol), i just wanted my TWOH.

lets not forget the inf tusk wormhole combo didn't get patched till like a month later meanwhile a skin duping bug got patched in a week

Roblox community just sucks, there's no way to wake them up and make them understand how bad a game is, they'll just keep playing and complaining about how bad it is. ABA is another great example. It just sucks, it's broken by meta characters, it's pay to win, and it doesn't reward skill, but people just keep playing and keep saying that it's bad, but they don't do anything about it. I used to be part of both the YBA and ABA community, but I had enough and now I don't play those games anymore. I seriously hope the devs and the community will realize how bad the games are.

I feel like an easy fix to the games combat since it is what brings the game down the most would be nerfing the damage of new stands to the ground so they have a utility advantage but not much power to them because having a large moveset whole dealing unholy damage is just unfair.

YBA 2019: The Golden Age (game getting constantly patch updates) YBA 2020: The Begin of Destruction (Skins and Trading System) YBA 2021: The Great Depression (Uzu stayed AFK for too long) YBA 2022: Back but not much better (Stone Free + Map update) YBA 2023: Death Upon the Will (Exposeds, Game is only alive because of skins) In summary, i'd say the lack of updates killed the shit out of YBA with the fact that the game wasn't fun since 2022 even in KZfaq, KZfaqrs like Eclipse started to have the need to make their own content, because there was NOT A SINGLE SHIT TO DO THERE. but even with that in hand, the skins definitely ruined YBA as well, just think about it. Scams, Frauds, Exploits... Just a huge pack of bad things in one single mechanic.

I used to play the game a good while ago, I really don't know much about the current state but just from this video, it seems like it's really shitty. The last time I used to properly play I would just hop into some sbr, maybe some 1v1s, and try out some paragon luck (i swear I'm not crazy it's real). I thought of coming back to the game at that time but when the new map update dropped I decided to just quit. Maybe I'm just biased for the old map since I got used to it a lot and any memory I had was made there, gambling in the arcade, silly little trade duping shenanigans, the crazy diamond skin dropping + the star platinum beatdown getting an animation, a literal fucking war happening at the last phase of the zone in sbr, etc etc. It was really fun overall!

Funny how i was recently banned by paragon a few weeks ago. I was minding my business and talking to another player about how bad the new yba is and how broken new stands are. Paragon had then banned my account from yba for a few weeks. I didnt even know he was in the server until i got banned. Now this video has coviniently popped up in my roccomended. Im new to thsi channel but already love it

I wish i could just turn back time to play with the unreworked stands just to feel the nostalgia of old yba..

My main issue is the playstyle is just whatever stand has a meta combo that can do 1/2 or 3/4th of your health. And it’s mostly because of the massive amount of moves added to both stands and specs. If I make one mistake I’ll have most of my health gone before my move cooldowns are even done.

Dude, YBA was the most important game to me and my friend group because it brought together so many of my friends, and it's so incredibly depressing to see the state of the game. One great thing YBA had was it's simplicity and that started to go away with the Killer Queen rework

skins and skin trading I don't feel had that much of an impact, as it still is a PVP game at heart. it's the stand and spec reworks mainly.

Ever since the new map dropped i felt that the game was too revamped and then i quit. I have had so many achievements in this game. It was my favorite game and i was watching eclipse everyday. Some of my achievement get HOH with 1 pity (original haver), get in PVP leaderboard top 7 l, get in SBR top 9 and killing 3 hackers and winning SBR top 1. This game was top until they killed it by not giving update and making the updates too revamped.

This game used to be my favorite game on Roblox but now it's completely ruined. I quit around 1 year ago, the breaking point was that the devs adds multiple mods specs but take 6 MONTHS to release a new stand. They clearly have no respect for the people playing.

I disagree with the combat section. i feel like the problem lies more within what the moves do and certain stats rather than the number of moves. Take stone free vs TWOH for instance. Stone free has more moves than TWOH, but the kicker is that most of Stone Free's moves are blockable, and you can still react when hit by unblockables (i.e you can barrage / parry when trapped or grappled to inturrupt the combo). TWOH even with the nerf still has timestop, unblockable knives (that have super armor and AOE) and an unblockable move that enlarges my hitbox if i whiff the parry (making fighting TWOH with lag unbearable). Combine that with the fact that they can teleport and instantaneously heal while Stone Free's heal leaves the player open for 2 seconds and heals only a fraction of what TWOH heals and the player's only mobility move is the grappling move This problem extends to the specs as well. Hamon grants a damage boost to all stands while having the absorption of Boxing (and in one case, gives burn damage), but pluck and spin only gives a damage boost to one stand while having the hp of wet tissue paper? Why does Unsheathe Steel bring the player to their opponent and not do knockdown so that a oneshot combo doesn't happen? What's worse is the fact that this issue isn't even new. Remember old CMoon Boxing, GER Hamon and old TWOH boxing? IMO, this game's combat was never good to begin with. The devs never think about balancing and drawbacks until paragon gets his face caved in while using a mod stand.

Fr, 2020 was the gold year for yba, I used to play every single day without stopping, it was a lot of fun to play with friends, get the requiem arrows, etc., it's a shame yba will never be the same.

ngl after the stone free update I pretty much stopped playing yba... there were several reasons one major reason was the loading screen and combat system not just being the same anymore honestly they should've kept the old map or make us choose between the maps deleting the previous map was a bad decision... also cool video.

This game has 0 balance and uzuki does nothing o change it. He is making things even WORSE. One shot combo? - Yea,we have it. -100 hp in one move? - Yea, we have it. And after all of that, he adds more unbalanced things. Like reworked specs and stand rework. Wont be surprised if next update will make more braindead combos. By the way nice video bro!

yea i joined the game around october 2021 and i played like 1-2 hours a day (never got good at it lol ) and i stopped playing just before stone free update then in september i returned and got so dissapointed that i was looking for an alternative which turned out to be TCA (yea its not as good as old yba yet but its the closest thing to it)

I love this video i went to BCT and came back to play this game and was like the specs r trash and i just couldnt. So i found RIU (Roblox is Unbreakable) another jojo game on roblox. I think the stands are more balanced, specs are blanaced, same with having weapons and clothing. RIU just needs more stands and updates. Trying to get the word out so the owner can do what we as the community want for it

OG player here, the game was destined to fail from the start cause of how bad the pvp was even back in 2021, its just worse now lol, I will give 4 examples: 1. Unless you were playing in the 1v1 gamemode, public server pvps were genuinely awful, if you combod your opponent they would simply run away and heal to full hp, an extremely infamous stand used for this cancerous strat as well as the range spam strat was hierophant green. 2. Stands that had more utility moves with some damage moves could not compete with stands that had more damage moves with some utility moves, it didnt matter how skilled you were, you could never beat a Star Platinum with White Album or any other utility stand. 3. Range stands were and still are near unbeatable, Im sure everyone knows what Im talking about, Aerosmith with any spec, preferably Hamon, GG, Six Pistols user with decent aim, runner HG users, Tusk 4 lol , etc. 4. Extreme lack of balance, Cream could and still can completely demolish your HP in 2-3 moves. Yeah, game was destined to fail from the start, the only reason it didnt die so fast is because ABD players migrated to it. Honestly a well deserved death, rest in piss YBA, you wont be missed.

I always knew the moment i got falsely banned from yba was one of the best thing that happened me... I matured, i got better friends, i become more happier. I used to play this game TOO MUCH, like 2021. I found horrible people in many gangs. hostile, unfriendly, xenophobic and racist even one that drawed nsfw to a kid with 12 years old. (i reported him to discord) Im incredibly happy to be banned in this game, Not only for the game itself. because i got away from those people and comunity, Its kinda remembers me the deepwoken comunity lol How sad this has to end like this...

the introduction of counters in specs has ruined in a part the m1 combat, plus newer stands don't need their m1s

i think if you want a experience that its close to it you are better playing tca, it has the old style of combat and they are trying to get things better of course there will it be broken stuff but its more because this stand has that ability instaed of every stand is op besides skins for things like tw or sp aren't really hard to get for now unlike yba (for what i know a twoh skin its like worth 10 heavinly arrows while in my time in yba a twoh skins was worth 40 lucky arrow's or more) they also tried spicy the formula with chests and raid bosses

about 2 and a half years ago i had went into the general chat (it was late at night and i was tired) and i asked a trading question (there was a trading chat) i realized my mistake but it was too late and i got muted PERMINATELY. i asked just about every admin to unmute me but none of them even responded. still muted to this day.

What made me leave the game was the pvp change from being skill-based to stand-based (and to see which one can spam faster) but what made me leave the community was really paragon and the rest of the staff them, i got PERMANENTLY muted in 2022 because i made an unfunny joke about country humans (something with fapping) i didnt appeal for it when i got muted since i knew it would happen, but two months after i tried to talk to an admin in DMs and all he did was send emojis and those ''stay mad'' memes. Honestly what bothered me the most was the paragon ''apology'' video, it felt like everyone just forgot about everything about him and suddenly got hopes that the game would become ANY BETTER, two months by now, still the same boring and unskilled PVP

I completely agree with you in this video, however you did slip up with the move counts on old stands vs new stands by only choosing old stands with moves that literally make them what they are (epitaph, time skip, time erase etc.). If you had chosen a stand like ta4 which has 9 moves, 7 of its moves do damage, or even ge which has 7 moves, 5 of its moves do damage. i just feel like you couldve chosen different stands and it wouldve disproven that point entirely.

It went from yba to aut, ever since they added trading. It made me lose my feeling of acomplishment for stands i earned like tusk act 4 when ik some random guy is just gettig it without any work. Makes me feel like i wasted my time.

Argh...did I join too late or something? :( Heck, I even had some mildly nice encounters so far, people are still friendly and casual, so what the heck? Man I havent touched this game in about a year and this gets recommended to me, back then the game (atleast to me) was fun, im not sure if it is now, I havent played it since but looking at this it looks like the game is truly done for.

Glad i quit yba during somewhere around stone free and soft and wet was released I felt like I escaped a already destroyed titanic about to hit another ice berg at that point and at some points I feel like im missing out a lot but after this video I don’t think im missing out on much at all. Sigh old yba it’s never coming back
