The fountain glitch Is not a invisivle wall, It's a special fog effect that's in place there. More specifically I believe It's the Tallest Peak fog that's In place there, more likely than not some builder used It there as a placeholder and forgot It. The fog is a constant when you visibly change areas btw. (By that I mean the message above Indicating which area you are In.)
