It was amazing to finally meet Izzy in person at the Las Vegas Convention Center this past July right before 290. (Profile pic) Really down to earth human being and even spent the time to chat with me for a bit. Definitely a memory I’ll never forget. Hope you make another run at the title Izzy 💯💯

@brettknibbs9351 I disagree. He just got boring. On his run to the title he was knocking people pit and doing what he was saying (like conor did). Then when at the top continued to talk the talk but didn't fight the same. He went in there to point score and win instead of prove his point. He asked for romero on numerous occasions saying about this finish then got in there and shat the bed. He's had 3 or 4 fights like that since kelvin.

Not turning up means he was not the same fighter we saw before its a very common world over used phrase he didnt turn up today tho did he. To pull you finger out is to try harder. He started being sloppy he stopped trying to beat people and started to coast. He is my favourite fighter atm and I've been watching since ufc2 on dvd and live when it was put on TV. He's just been coasting and it cost him his title. If a real Izzy shows up none of them beat him imho

@@PrettyGJulio Israel had better competition than Silva because Silva still fought some of these PRIDE oldheads I don't say that Izzy is for sure better but I think the quality of opponents in title fight wins is also a valid point That's why I also think Volk is a greater FW than Aldo Because the competition nowadays is just better That's why you can also make an argument for Israel

The greatest. Silva's known for striking and he cannot compete with Adesanya's kickboxing resume, not even a little bit. Adesanya fought in the best era of middleweight kickboxing ever, and only had close losses against like 4 Glory world champions, beating people multiple times who beat Pereira multiple times. He koed the greatest middleweight kickboxer of all time in MMA. And fought champions of this era in half of his 16 UFC fights. Anderson fought 3 champions of his era, the likes of Forrest Griffin for fuck sake, in his 16 fight run. Also, despite the age delta, Adesanya pitched a shutout against Silva - who lost like 8 in a row on his way out (that Brunson fight was an L). You cannot use him losing to Strickland as the deciding factor, Silva lost to Weidman by KO on the feet in his prime.

I understand the role Izzy plays. He’s extremely hurt and insecure but he never backs down because that’s his mantra now. He’s unapologetic after all the bullying and lack of identity he has in NZ. I’m glad he’s going to hopefully return even stronger
