Each light is addressable by the looks of it, at least the 3 connections between the strings suggest that. Likely power +, power -, and data. The screws are a good idea, I wouldn't trust any type of glue to keep something like that up for over a decade. Especially when there's going to be constant thermal expansion and contraction due to the string being exposed to the elements outside the house, and due to the operation of the strings themselves throughout the night. Cool thing, but outside lights aren't for everybody. I would never be able to sleep with that thing working outside all night, they would have to go off when bed time comes. Otherwise I'd be crawling on the walls lizard style, spinning my head 360 degrees, and chanting things in Latin after several sleepless nights. 👹👻👽🙃🙂

In my world, I cant take flashing lights with loud music for a long time, it is a form of torture. I will start shutting down as a way to counter act this. One color would be ok, with no flashing!! Music to loud, also effects my heart rate. Ramifications of this combination is not good for me. But party on Girl!! I like soft light with little country music!!
