In the album version she recorded in 2019 she says “it’s been 2 years mom I still can’t figure it out” and in this version she says “5 years, too many tears, still can’t figure you out” those little details BREAK me 💔

Say now When my life is over Will you find somebody good enough to hold you? Someone like my Abigail? To tell you all is good and well like me now Say now I feel my colors show how I think it's almost time for me to go now Go now, go now But this paranoia purple turns to grey And all that's good and well It melts away Until we meet again How could I for Still can't figure it out Still can't figure it out Ooh, how could I forget about you now Tell me, how could I forget about you now? The complete voice .SHE possess a God given voice beautiful tone amazing range that could sing the highest notes effortlessly and amazing control that can do the runs and riffs in the category of Tori Kelly. Clear enunciation of the lyrics of the song .the first time I heard her voice I became an instant fan and I said this is a voice that needs to be heard by the world . @@Pablo_sanz359 perhaps Adele and that's pushing it... I don't think Adele can even do the range and runs. Maybe a jasmine Sullivan, but once again, jasmine uses too many runs. I've always had the notion even from the best opera singers I went to school with that embellishment waa an excuse to show you weren't that good. For instance, Ariana Grande. WAY TOO MANY RUNS. Yebba is popping through complete arpeggiated chords, adding cross and subtones, and singing between head and chest voice with no effort at all. It's insane

This album came out a few days before my Nana, my family's leader and beloved Matriarch, passed after a long battle with cancer. It took me many moons to be able to listen to the album, but when I got to this song...man. It was just full on sobs. It made me feel like she was talking to me, telling me she's no longer in pain, and that she can finally see her husband after 21 years of being apart, that she can run and laugh and dance like she used to. It's bittersweet. But, like Yebba said, her colors are showing now. And that's all that matters. 💚

I love how the discipline of the sophisticated chord progressions seems hold her gospel runs in check, but they are still there on the tip of her tongue. This is a truly amazing musical experience to witness, Yebba is a phenomenon

I saw the clip of her receiving a Grammy - Best R&B - for her feature on PJ Mortons recording of How deep is your love. She thanked the Holy Ghost! I pertain to no religion, but I am a firm believer. You are so on point...her gift is divine...and she lets it resonate for us all. A once in a lifetime singer/songwriter.

YEBBA’s masterpiece has me in such a hold! I didn’t even realize how cinematically beautiful this live recording is, especially towards the ending. That shot when Pino and Charles start disappearing then it fades to black. But my favorite is YEBBA’s reflection appearing as she sings “all I see is you…Heeeaaaven” 😩😭🥰💜
