Dire Milkshake I don’t know how familiar you are with korean culture, but generally a two handed handshake or something like what GD did in this clip is a sign of respect that one usually does in the presence of an elder/peer. This time of respectful greeting is not usual between adults and kids so it actually is very surprising that GD would do that kind of handshake with the bow(also usually not done towards kids) in this circumstance

This has never happened before with the 2nd generation's YG artists. Big bang and 2ne1 were sister and brother groups and every YG Stan would call them and every YG artist "family". It all started with the generation after, thanks to all those immature and petty fans starting fanwars between YG fandoms. Instead of encouraging unity and support between VIPS, BLACKJACKS, INCLES, IKONICS AND BLINKS, they caused division. All because of their childish little minds. This feeling of belonging to the same YG family, I don't often see it among new generation fans now.

Meli Melo Truee. Also largely because, fans nowadays just became fans because of BP for example. They have no idea about YG history or whatever. These days, all that the fans cared about are breaking records, to the point of even dragging other artists down. It’s quite sad. (I hav no negative intentions here, i made BP as an example bec they are one of YG’s 3rd gen artists.)

I miss the previous YG generation and how they were supportive of one another and how each fandom supported each other too. That YG spirit is getting lost. VIPs and BLACKJACKS were more mature than the new generation of YG groups' fans we see nowadays. They knew how to appreciate, support and respect each other.

I find all YG artists authentic, guenuine, not afraid to be themselves in front of the cameras, having this unique edge to them. They also know how to have fun and I just like their personnalities in general. A true YG stan doesn't discriminate against any YG artist, having preferences doesn't mean that you need to bash other artists and fandoms and show disrespect. A true YG stan doesn't do these petty things, and knows how to appreciate and be grateful for the fact that in YG you get different colors/flavours in every artist. The more YG artists/groups there is, the happier I am. I am so thankful to have the chance to listen to and discover different YG artists. Why choose to only limit ourself to 1 group/artist when we are offered the chance to appreciate and stan various talented artists within the same company ? Honestly, those people don't know what they're missing out.

About BLACKPINK, i'm surprised at the number of OT1, OT2, OT3 immature stans, calling themselves BLINKS, who start fights within the fandom, usually against one or two of the BLACKPINK members but also outside the fandom. They're called BLONKS and most BLINKS don't claim them as part of the fandom. In every fandom you have those toxic fans but those ones are the worst for me because they don't support the group as a whole, they mainly support only 1 member and hate on the others. Not all solo stans are like that though but still a big part. They are childish, ignorant and don't really care about the YG spirit. I can't stand this mentality, ughhh 😣 😔 Bring back the old YG spirit 😭 I hope that as BLACKPINK will get older, their fans will get wiser too and the mature fans will outnumber the childish ones 🤞
