aespa has an interesting concept and lore. Would suggest watching the Black Mamba ep.1 SMCU 10min video prior to their comeback single "Next Level". It will help understand a bit of their story, their ae (avatars) concept and words that are connected to their world. They have 3 songs overall. "Black Mamba" their debut. "Forever" which showcases their voices and another side of them. "Next Level" their first comeback single. aespa's first album is expected to release soon. Though it hurts I'll still share some info about Oh My God: -There are still a lot of questions and confusions about the meaning of this song since it was so vague. -Soyeon (the rapper that's you're telling about) said that when she wrote this song, she wanted the listeners to ask "What does she mean?" or "What was she thinking while writing these?"... And Soyeon was indeed right, until now people are curious about the meaning, and created a lot of theories. Soyeon never gave the real story behind the song. -When Soyeon was asked what does she meant by the "SHE" on the chorus, she said it was open for interpretation, and not limited to a woman. "Music should not be bound by gender since music is for everyone." -Some theories were a forbidden/toxic relationship, lgbt love (which is not open in Korean), and others are biblical. -Soyeon said that it was up to us, and for us to "TRUST" what it mean, that connects as well to everything we do. We have to trust ourselves or others and live by it, no matter the outcome is. -This is why this 3rd album was called "I-TRUST" with 2 versions, TRUE and LIE.
