the 'Sangeet' before the wedding is a tradition where the bride's and the groom's family/friends rehearse and dance, it's fun competition but Naina is too competitive lol

The reason why naina was so annoyed about their dance being good is because.. It's the indian wedding custom to have the groom's side and the bride's side families/friends compete against each other with the dance moves. Also the reason why she made bunny spy on the groom's side dance practice is to make sure the bride's side win.

If you have the right group, you will totally love Holi. From childhood till early twenties, we had this crazy Holi celebration. Even put Music like this & our entire neighborhood would dance. We would have big water tubs,where we will throw each other

Trust me, Holi is epic if you're with the right squad. I'm an introvert, and barely come out on occassions like this. But in the last fifteen years, I've played Holi once with my cousins and the other time, in my old neighborhood. Both of the time, I was happy like crazy! Even without romanticising the thought, I can gladly declare, colours and music with right people around can bring the utmost happiness out from you.

You know whats the most hard hitting scene from this movie. When Kalki Koechlin says "Abhi hum bade ho rhe hai " Eng translation "We are growing up" This line is soo deep to understand, but basically this dissects the generation from teenage to adulthood. We need atleast one friend in our life who needs to understand the barriers and comfort of our life and push the envelope to succeed further in Life ♥️

The vibe of their luxury hotel in udaipur ( You'll get to see more of it in the song Kabira) is special and a different kind of nostalgic because it reminds me of the nights me and my friends spent together in Jodhpur having fun😭

Lmao, at 11:04, Kabir actually said, "It's our sister-in-law, Taran" so the English sub was pretty accurate. He did mean to say Aditi's wife. The reason he said that is a teen culture thing in India where boys usually call girls sister-in-law if their friends like them. Since Aditi is a tomboy and basically one of the guys, Kabir meant to call him sister-in-law or Aditi's wife

@jaby yes, they did call adhiti's fiancee as "humare bhaabhi" which translates to " our sister-in-law" but the subtitles translated as "Adhiti's wife" which convey the same meaning in this context

dude, you guys should watch the deleted scenes of the movie.. they just add so much more to the plot but probably were extending the running time of the movie even by Indian standards and so were cut out! but they're great.. just watch all of those.. react to it or don't just watch it out of love for the movie! they're great! The reason she is able to convince you that she is really in love might have two reasons : -Obviously she is a good actress -second they were actually dating in real life while they were shooting for this movie .

no, actually they weren't dating at that time they had already broken up but they were still good friends and Ayan Mukherjee, the director also said in the behind-the-scenes videos that he asked both of them to express their emotions like they had when they were dating.

1:27 She does a really good job of expressing that she's in love because she WAS IN LOVE with the actor Ranbir Kapoor and though this movie is after their breakup, her interviews clearly show how much she continued to love him because it's not easy to move on when you truly loved someone

Fun fact : The lead actors actually dated in real life and broke up even before this movie happened. Deepika was so much in love with Ranbir that you can see in her acting. They remained friends after the breakup and still doing movies together.

Holi is just like this irl as well! loud music, Holi colours and lots of dancing, sure we don't all look perfect while playing Holi, there's colour everywhere! especially your teeth for some reason but other than that, it's super super fun :)

The character Dave's accent in this movie is the funniest english accent I've ever heard.. even Jaby likes it. *I was LIKE dhoond raha tha LIKE everywhere* and *OMG That was LIKE totally incredible* 😂 LOL and yeah Steph got it right...
