I've always been a Yelawolf fan and I never slept on him. After going back and listening to all the freestyles he dropped to promote TM3, I gotta admit that I am blown away all over again by him. So much so that I HAD to finally put him up there with my personal favorites, J. Cole, Em, Kendrick, K.R.I.T, and Wale. (no particular order because I hate "lists") We need to get Yela the respect he deserves with the power of KZfaq. Like, favorite, and share all his shit. Hip-hop needs him!

He's definitely added to his book rhyme schemes. He's actually doing what EM did on Kamikaze and he's showing off switching flows 4-5 times per song. And these are promotion for TM3. Which is smart because now they don't necessarily have to use the first single as promotion till a week or two before the album drops.

He's definitely improved! We were neighbors and occasionally dranken patnas before he blew up. He was working on his music in Nashville. He was good. But not on this level yet.. no way. Of course life experiences, hardwork in the studio, learning from Em, collabing with amazing artists all worked to improve his skillset & craft! I'm gonna guess a lot of y'all haven't been listening to Yela for a long time? Alex is right, Yela been fire for a minute. He just hasn't went in like this in a long time. He brought both some new schemes as well as brought back some old ones from the past. Yela has ALWAYS had the ability to hang with Em(tho not on his level, as Yela said. If Em is God then he's Jesus), he just hasn't shown it in a long time. You don't hear as much of the savage fast stuff from Yela like you used to.

Em and Yela will back each other to the end whether Yela is on Shady or concentrates on his own label Slumerican and drops his music there. Em has always wanted his artists to grow and step out on their own. From 50 to Crooked I to Yelawolf, anyone that can lyrically stand on their own two feet and in the streets has owned their own label and been their own man. This has never stopped the 100% loyalty from either side of the relationships.
