They are small, nimble and fast. This mean they use up a lot of Energy, but they cannot store much fat in their bodies. That means they gotta hunt often and be agressive at that.

Whilst not as cuddly and a tad off-topic: A Praying Mantis is also a formidable, but not so well known, predator. Its' long list of prey surprisingly includes birds, mice, lizards and snakes.

I have learned that this family of animals are some of my favorite creatures nature has created. I love Fisher's, common otters too, which I look at like these guys but water versions of them. (not sea otters they're totally different) wolverine, badgers, weasels, stoats, mink, honey Badgers are all such amazing and impressive creatures.

Так вот о ком рассказывала мне моя мама , что видела как семья "жёлтых хорьков" , намного больше размерами за тёмных , днём , переходила улицу в их деревне . Не боясь людей . Просто , одна большая , остановилась на улице , и ждала , когда перейдёт всё семейство . Было это более 80 лет назад .

No. Martens are typically very shy animals. I went to a zoo and went to the yellow throated marten and it didn’t appear for like 15 minutes, and even then it preferred to hide. Pine martens are the same

Are we sure these numbers are accurate? A martin with a 30” body not including the tail, that weighs 15lbs, can jump 30 feet? That almost as long as the longest jump ever by a professional dock jumping dog.

Wait a sec, there are yellow throated martens in Canada where moose are "and" where monkeys live? Monkeys don't live where moose calves live and vice/versa...unless some asshole threw a monkey to them.

Moose can be found in the Baltic states, Poland, Kazakhstan and Russia not only Canada. While yellow-throated marten reside in South and Southeast Asia, as well as China, Korea, and Russia. So yes, moose calves are also on the menu, so having a monkey around is not related to the area where moose is found.

@@BEASTERS Oh I see I just saw it, moose are in western Russia in the Ural mountains and the marten are in eastern Russia which is a bit of a stretch but it could still happen, thanks for making me look for it, I hunt moose and thought for almost my entire life they were specific to Canada and Alaska...very cool.
