Most underrated sax player: Bob Mintzer. I'll never forget his solo over Claire's song during Jacksonville Jazz in '93. Truly masterful!

You may be across the world but you pointed me to an amazing moment in music. I may never meet you but you changed my life (just a tiny bit) and gave me goose bumps, made my Friday a special one, and let me think about how grateful I am to share this moment with another human in this crazy convoluted way.

I’m glad my comment connected you with some really special music! I still remember watching this when I was 7 years old on VHS and trying to understand what I was hearing and how it made me feel. Definitely one of the songs that inspired me to get into music (I play drums and Will Kennedy was killer in that performance too!) Hope to see you around again in the KZfaq Jazzverse. Cheers!
